My 4th weapon potential upgrade in a row bricked in the last 3 days ! I am just curious at this point how was this feature approached and tested before release ?
What is the point of even playing if every time you potentially get some upgrade gear initial thought is “It’s bricking time!!”.
I am only making this new post with same topic in hope that maybe we can get a change before s4 ends …
It is just an update of the number attempt from 5 to 999999999999999 until you find a real solution. It is a simple number(int) change. I can come and do it for you if you don’t know how … and I promise that no one who is playing s4 will complain.

It’s a seriously problem in game design logic. It’s hard to believe that the expert designers would not see the issue associated with a system where the few great items you get as drops are ruined by an RNG event that has no recourse. As thread after thread has pointed out, the option to start over for a price (mats) is a great solution.
But how did they screw this up so badly to begin with. It’s not like they don’t know that gambling and collecting are the character traits that need to get exploited for a game to succeed. So why would you turn that rare win a player gets into a loss.
It’s like getting a winning lottery ticket that must be inserted into a random box to collect, but the box could be a shredder rather than a reader. Who would want to play that lottery?
The only hope we have that they will prioritize fixing this is that no one buys the X-pack until we can clear a brick and try again (for some rawhide, square gems, and pin cushion dolls or living steel). Give those mats some value.

Yet another stint on D4 that ends with two bricks.
I wonder how many people end up logging off because of the horrible feeling they have bricking yet another nice item, and then they stay away from this game longer and longer each time. It sure feels like there are fewer and fewer people each day.
This has to show in their lower-than-expected presale numbers.
