Tempering Desaster

I see. I never experienced that part of Diablo 2.
I played the normal difficulty quite a bit and tried Hard a couple of times, but never got into the Endgame.

Yes, it is normal for things to drop from a certain level, in D3, DI and D4 it also happens, but only in D2 you can enter a dungeon (Boss) to have a better chance of something specific.

Very advanced in Diablo 3, I realized that it was important to have a little target farming.

I love the idea of the journey… Specifically Item journey. I love that fantasy of my faithful weapon that has accompanied me since I was weak and evolved over time. I really want a real trip with my items… and well… tempering ruins this fantasy quite badly

Fair opinion.
I play it for the story (F2P. You don’t need money for that). And to be honest, it’s a Diablo 3, but with all of Diablo 3’s problems addressed. And a lot of content… too much to be honest… Update every 2 weeks is too much for a casual player.

But, it’s surprisingly good for what it is.

The current Diablo 4 codex for example… is almost identical to Diablo Immortal, and I’m so happy they finally copied it.

ok, remember I’m not lucky :joy: :sob:

Yes, I have found one or two, but for obvious reasons they don’t have the stats I want.

As I’ve said, several times, I have no problems with normal RNG.

I have a problem with RNG that makes you lose something, or makes you feel like you’ve lost something.
I have no problem if I can ignore it, I’m not going to touch it, but tempering I have to touch it to access Masterworking, and I’m not THAT desperate to level up an item that doesn’t have the correct stats… JET.

Sorry, I think it’s not ok.

I didn’t play much that season .
Not too much to say… except that I know they nerfed the penalties… so yeah… the feeling of loss or “step back” was important… I guess.

Of course, there are several ways to improve Tempering.

My proposal is just one that seeks to be simple, easy and effective.
Just copy and paste the system and change the values. Add a button to select which alternative you prefer and you’re more or less ready.
An alternative does not need a new interface, or new stats, or reordering the manuals… or even new materials. It’s simple enough that you can have it ready very quickly.

But, I don’t really care how they solve it.

There are a couple of redesign ideas “floating” around the forum that are very interesting.
