Tempering Desaster

And I’m totally okay with that.

Ok… Were the crafting items unique to the crafting system or was crafting the risky ALTERNATIVE?

To be clear: I’m not an expert in Diablo 2.

I know that the runewords gave you exactly what you wanted, although the stats could be low (but not wrong like in tempering).

And again, I don’t see any problem with that.

I think that excessive RNG makes it difficult to have a goal.
And by this I mean that if you know that a boss drops the items you want, no matter how rare they are, you have a goal.

And one of the biggest problems with Diablo 4 is that you run out of goals very quickly.

Definitely. I think Diablo Immortal is a very good reference point in this regard. Basically, legendaries are like the runes in Diablo 3. They change the skill, but they don’t necessarily make it more powerful.

It’s like a skill tree, but in the items.

In my case, I am casual.

I know that a GA3 is out of my reach, and I’m not going to complain that they are scarce because I know that I don’t deserve them with the amount of time I play (That’s why I’m 100% sure I have no entitlement issues. I know my place).

I apply tempering to GA0 items or GA1 items, and I fail GA0 and GA1 items… constantly… with safe manuals… just looking for the right stat… yes, my luck is horrible and It feels so bad that the good rolls don’t excite me… they are just a relief (“thank Lilith I can stop doing this”).

I don’t want to do it again… and again… and again…

And again…

I’m not looking for perfection… I’m looking for something that works, and I’m struggling… WTF? WY?
Perfection should be difficult, not the bases… The same bases that all players have to experience at least once. That’s why there is a constant flow of tempering complaints.

And this is, in reality, the only reason that tells me that I am right. After seeing the official season 4 patch notes I gave up. I assumed that I was not right because everyone told me that I was not right (I guess Tempering definitely has a limit)… and surprise, out of nowhere I am not as alone as I thought.
