I found that perfect ammy that I was searching for from the beginning of the season. I know it is hard to find because last season I only found ONE. But my bad luck following me, I didn’t get the temper I wanted. I didn’t want a perfect one, just the one I was looking for. So I had to sell it.
Tempering needs to be revisited. Many ppl asked the same. Just adding my voice to it.

It’s not just that bricking is the problem. So whenever I want to change a build, I need to find a new item to temper. So annoying.
Absolutely true, I am in a middle of changing build and I know I will need to change most of my current equipment to something else because of tempering max. But I need this particular ammy to make my build a viable one. Now I know it is too late, I just need to forget about it…

0I went through 3 1 or 2 GA wands today trying to temper a certain affix with a 1 in 4 chance to get what I wanted. Twice I got the same, wrong, affix in a row and then another wrong one to make the item useless to me. Another time I got the first the affix I wanted on the third roll and then got the wrong rolls on the other affix I need by rolling one affix 3 time in a row the then another wrong one on the last roll. I am now out of GA wands and daggers. It seems like the odds of rolling the same wrong affix 4 times in a row would be pretty against it happening over and over. Seems like the RNG is messed up in S5.
Tempering is just griefing the player base and I hate it with a passion. There’s no reason tempering couldn’t be infinite. We already have enough randomness on the item drops AND stats and enchanting rerolls. Temper bricking is an asinine game design choice that deserve rewards for how to make players hate your game and quit playing. I cannot overstate my contempt for it.

Just imagine if/when we finally get an Armory to quickly swap between builds!
I’ve got orange (legendary of all types) mats up the wazoo, with nothing to use them on. Make the mat cost (NOT THE GOLD COST) progressively higher per temper reroll, but make it infinite like you said. Easy solution for Blizzard to show they have an ounce of respect for our time.
I stopped playing D4 because of bricking (20 year veteran of Diablo games). I’m also trying to get a refund for VoH prepurchase since it will apparently also have bricking.
And this is not a big deal like I’m rage quitting or anything - I game to just relax and enjoy - bricking is the antithesis of that. Just don’t care for it.
