Ancestral Uniques all seem kind of weak because their innate rolls are usually really bad.
Gibbous looks ok but mad wolfs glee and temerity have crap affixes.
Youd think 80% max life barrier would be so strong but, i feel like good pants with say bonus armor affix rolled well offer SO much more survivability. Simply because the affixes suck on most ancestral uniques.
Thoughts? What gives?
Oh and to be clear i usually have the barrier sitting at max. But on real big hits it wont save me.
Anything with lucky hit affixes is a superior item to use against trash fights because you get so many more chances to reach its proc condition. For a purely single target fight you will probably do better with your choice of pants plus an aspect that better supports you defensively if you get quality rolls on its affixes.
Temerity does allow you to do something that other pants will not and that is pop a potion at full health to proc your barrier pre fight. Provided you can squeeze out enough damage the fight is mostly over before your barrier expires and if it does you can pop another potion to continue moving from barrier to barrier.
It also allows you to hold your bulwark for those real “oh $$$$” moments. Speaking of if you run other pants you can put the mending stone aspect and both extend your bulwark and replenish its barrier.
It’s an interesting trade off depending on situation and play style.
how much lucky hit do you have?
Why does lucky hit matter here?
My tornado werenado druid has so much self healing that i instantly heal to full with a full barrier with no potions needed with zero effort.
The extra barrier health still feels weaker than having pants in the 800 range with very good damage reduction and bonus armor affixes.
What am i missing? Why does lucky hit matter? I dont need to pop a potion to fill my hp barrier.
I don’t think they are needed with Werenado build for the reasons you mentioned here. Temerity is for builds more reliant on barriers than healing and really just an option as opposed to a requirement.
