It may not be a problem for me, or people who don’t trade, but it’s definitely a problem. I don’t think anyone has said it wasn’t a problem.
Good to see them warning people though. I also like the list of known scammers.

oh i didnt see the warning. I was mostly just noting there like 20 people selling the exact same item with a very rare GA Glass cannon/Devouring blaze combo and they all happen to have the same aspect with the same value and the same third stat 0.o
Also i hear you on the not trading. i’m still selling items this season but I won’t buy anything other than consumables that I plan to use immediately, or items i will immediately salvage for an aspect. not going to risk it on the duped gear.

Wait till they figure out how to dupe cash shop cosmetics, then they will be screwed lol

didnt check your link OP, as i dont have an account there anyway. Dupes are of course not wanted, but they will be there every now and then. As far as i know most duping methods got fixed.
however, i think people assume dupes at times even tho they arent. i mean, uniques got fixed stats, GAs set the stats to max. a quad GA unique is of course rare, but they exist, assuming (since we dont know the player numbers) many people play d4, these items could end up on this site.
In my opinion I do not care about duping

even if it did/does who cares if its cheap if you know it may be deleted?
when you search for GA GC/DB there are 20+ with GA GC/BD and 47% lightning resist and they all have blood boiling aspect. almost all of them have the same 54 value for the aspect.(this value can be manually changed) There are exactly ZERO other amulets with these two GAs.
I agree a lot of people jump to conclusions, but it’s pretty clear what this is

hey i hope you didnt get me wrong, im not saying these items arent dupes at all, i also know you dont jump to conclusions btw. But i also think that topic is pretty prominent in everyones mind because obviously, duping and rmt is a thing. (tho, as i said, from what i know, which might not be too much on this topic, the big duping methods got fixed.)
Well that would be welcome news. I hadn’t seen anything on this and the search pages at dtrade are flooded with examples like this.

well i just know certain sites and try to keep me updated on such topics, so of course i cant give a 100% guarantee that this info is accurate, since blizzard doesnt really talk about this topic you know. I think we had a thread about that recently tho with someone else mentioning it, now that i think of it.
By letting the dupes go out of control on trade sites the level of trust is diminished to the point only new players and suckers purchase anything. Even the dupers are probably selling stuff for duped gold. I think Blizz are hedging that the trade will fall off so it’s not worth duping anymore since there will be a backlash from honest traders who won’t use the site.
This doesn’t mean it’s not a problem. It is but natural market forces will sort them out. It’s up to us to spread the word that trade sites are not to be trusted.
i think thats a misconception. people who dupe in masses, at least thats what i think, dont do that for gold, they do that for real money.
i mean, i can only speak for myself there, but i wouldnt dupe, and then sell duped items for gold, just to risk my blizzard account. Maybe there are people who do that, but it doesnt really make sense i think lol.
no amount of gold is it worth for me to risk a 100+ bucks d4 license for me.
not a problem anymore in Season 7, since 4 GA gears will carry at least 90%–100% of the aspect power, making it easier and faster for dupers to duplicate their merchandise and sell it for real money.

If anything, itd lead to rmt sites losing money, since these aspects become more easy to obtain.

any adjustment will definitely affecting supply and demand like back in stygian stones case. seller will adjust the pricing.

i wonder if, and why, people purchased those anymore after they dropped rather easily in the infernal hordes for example.
As you might know, im absolutely against rmt, but i guess if people feel the need to rmt in d4… well… let them lol. money needs to be drained from such people i guess.
nothing in this game is super duper rare. everything can be achieved.
(inb4 someone coming in saying: “but i need that triple GA whatever item for my build i copy D:!”)

yep, even godly gear will become obsolete after the season. only those who can afford it will find pleasure through RMT.
dupers and farmers are surely stocking up on d4 copies during this sales season. they’re organized, they rent office space and register their companies as game consultancies. and about a week after S7 launched, the duping drama continues.

Dupes are a huge problem that they are too ignorant, lazy and just don’t care to address. Unless it affects platinum or other cash shop items.
i hope you do know the difference between platinum/cosmetics, and items right?
