Anyone else missing the Diablo 4 icon on the taskbar ( windows 10)

Yes, same here since Early Access. Also on Win 10, sometimes makes it hard navigating to it haha. Is it a blank white page for you as well?

Still an issue for me as well. Was this way both betas.

The uninstaller for the beta didn’t delete the shortcut icon, quickest way to fix:

  1. Right click open Diablo icon in tray
  2. Right Click Diablo IV in the sub menu
  3. Left click properties
  4. Left click “Open File Location”
  5. Windows will ask if you want to delete the missing shortcut, click “Yes”
  6. Close the properties
  7. Close and re-open the game

This fixed it for me:

Exit Game and bnet client
Hit Windows key + R, type %AppData% and hit Enter. The Appdata folder should open up. Do a folder search (right side of the menu for the folder window) for Diablo IV.

You’ll see Diablo IV.lnk file in the search results. It will be located in Appdata\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer etc. Delete that file.

Restart bnet client, restart D4, it should display the D4 icon properly.

It’s because we played the beta. The icon is trying to point to the D4 beta folder, which doesn’t exist.
When D4 is launched, right-click the icon > right-click D4 > properties > take " - beta" out of the location and target path > click ‘change icon’ > browse > select: C:\Program Files (x86)\Diablo IV\Diablo IV Launcher.exe

Or you can go here: %appdata%\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\User Pinned\ImplicitAppShortcuts

Find the diablo shortcut, delete it, then launch the game and it’ll make a new one

Glad I am not the only one that has had this problem… Had to reload the game and it started then… All better now!!!
