Am I missing something? Shouldn’t we all be running either a poison or a shadow elemental surge temper on our weapons to proc the 4th Tal’rasha element for the max 60% dmg increase? It’s a 15% damage multiplier, it’s like having an extra glyph, nothing else you can put on a weapon can top that. Yet none of the guides have it listed. Is it a glaring oversight or am I missing something?
It also deals considerable dps on a maxed roll/masterworked weapon with enough lucky hit on skills like ice shards. Each shard can proc the effect.
Yeah I run high lucky hit on my build which is why I was looking at it. It has really nice uptime. I really don’t see any downside to running it over virtually anything else. I guess guide writers are just missing the potential. /shrug
Slow attack speed/mastery based may not see as many ticks as a basic skill/shards/cL. Also lucky hit stacking isnt super common to my knowledge.
FO also has a baseline 4% lucky hit chance, so it just isn’t efficient to try to gear for LH on a FO build.
It’s not but then neither is a Meteor/Firewall build with X’fals but that’s what I am running, lol. For me it competes with increased Meteor size so it’s a no brainer.
Yep. And conjure skills arent any better. Hydra hits quickly but 2.5 baseline, lightning spear isnt far off. Iceblades has around 15 i think, but its single target and does its own thing sometimes; difficult to justify the use of this temper with iceblades as your main application tool.
I would also guess that if you arent getting a damage function from this temper (Talrasha stack aside), its not worth the slot.
