T7 and T8 too hard

I just got to T6 on Eternal. I don’t have a single Mythic unique on Seasonal and best I can do is T4

I have to do the pit to be able to get some late game masterworking materials.

I know they are fixing this ability to farm uniques by removing the need for those stones for tormented bosses.

Am I the only one or is it that the gear requirement is incredibly high for my casual play?

A while ago I was stuck on t4, I EVENTUALLY made the uber helm and immediately cleared it and starting working on t6. it is gear, you damage output and max health. I can now solo t8 just fine so if you need help hit me up, id be glad to help.
P.S
get boss mats together and and ask in the trade chat for help killing them ( torment bosses) lots a people are willing to help you. i just helped a guy get 3 ubers in just a few runs, they drop like nothing now. ive gotten almost 20 not grinding like crazy.

I think you answer yourself in your own publication, it’s simple you need to play a little more and more optimized, there are hundreds of guides on YouTube, if you can only play a couple of hours a week then farm boss materials and look for groups to help you make uber bosses.

Gear requirement is high for all, unless you’re playing a “broken” build. Expect 2 Mythics for entry into H6/7 (Shako and Tyreal’s).

But even at H5, you can get a large amount of materials to MW gear to 8/12. That’s usually the sticking point to start clearing H6 and getting the 12/12 MW.

I was playing a minion necro when I decided to make a LS sorc to see what all the fuss was about and to use it to farm mats for my other builds.
You can do T7 with LS w/o Mythics if you have the correct gear.
I know have both Shako and Tyreal’s and T8 is a breeze.
But my rng this season has been meh with Mythics so I ended up crafting both of them.
Now I want to do an Andy’s rogue.
Good luck!

I’ve run close to 70ish Ubers and haven’t had a mythic drop once, so no they’re not raining like candy, been sitting on 3 sparks forever now.

I ended my last season playing with 3 sparks , just didnt have the desire to level another character and try to get the 4th. Totally flawed system for people that work and cant play 10 hours a day…

So here’s some serious questions:

  • How many hours per week do you play?
  • How many different characters do you play in a season?
  • Do you play the entirety of a season, or do you stop after a week? A month? 2 months?
  • What are your personal expectations for that time played? For example - what difficulty do you expect to clear? What goals do you expect to reach?

Please don’t take this as an attack. These are questions I’m truly asking, and the answers are going to vary wildly per individual.

Basically (not always) comes down to gear and ‘following the meta’. Got 2 to 3 mythicals and following a sTier+ guide you didn’t think of yourself? You can do T7 and T8 without issues… and unlock the ability to tell others to ‘get good’.

Show me a video of someone clearing T8 without a mythical… I’ll wait. (note: I’m just teasing of course… and I have to say this as there are those on the forums that can’t sense sarcasm.)

So, buy mats, do torments till you get the holy trinity of mythicals… Then beat T8 and then tell others to ‘get good’. That’s the current end game. sadly.

The key with the alt farming spark method is playing efficiently.

You want to ideally run Gauntlet and hit worthy (it’s not hard at all), make an alt of the same class you already play, collect your caches from Gauntlet, open them on your level 1 alt, and bam you have starter 925 equippable at lvl 55 ancestral gear.

Then you just make a set of decent normal items with a moderately low level requirement and %dmg tempers and life on hit (no not a typo)/dmg affixes. Throw aspects on stuff too.

Then you do both capstones at lvl 35ish. Run IH after to level and get rep. Equip your ancestrals when you hit 55 and you farm rep by running IH repeatedly. Collect spark, craft uber since you have 3 sparks and now you have something that will carry you from lvl 35 on. Repeat if you want, with an uber it is even faster.

I’m not saying it is doable in 1-2 hours, but it can certainly be done over a week with extremely low amounts of casual play time. I don’t want to throw a number out there because I know how fast I can do it but everybody plays at different paces.

I normally play 3-4 hours a night after work when Im playing and a new season starts. Sometimes more on the weekends. I usually do 3 characters to at least level 80 - 85 depending on items I find. I usually play all the season because Im not hitting T4 until at least the 1 month mark as I play mostly solo. Ideally Id like to be able to clear all the content and run some bosses, unfortunately bosses are not fun and require way too much mat gathering for my liking so I dont do much of that in D4. No Offense taken - I really want this game to be good, its just not there yet. Im cautiously optimistic it can get there ala ROS and D3. But I REALLY wish theyed allow us to run the campaign on 3-4 different difficulties - probably because it would be like D2 which for me is the pinnacle Diablo game to date…

PS - I normally do my own thing and dont follow guides, I understand this game and this series and I dont need a Guide on how to make a character. Any 1 with half a brain should be able to pick the skills they want to use for the build they want to play …

The flaw in the system is letting you buy the best gear in the game with a currency, and then balancing the content around the expectation of having that gear.

Yea u are right in a certain point of view, the problem of this game is its really hard to farm your own items. Mainly because drops are falling only for the class u are playing. U dont get to run Hell Mephisto Baal Andy Pindle or any other boss and have the success we had like in D2. Im totally fine finding my own items and I normally did just that in the previous Diablo titles…

Yes statistically impossible to get ubers that 10-15 people worldwide had was sooo much better! Bring that back!

I want my own uber in fact “Conceited’s helm”-Does what every uber in the game can do, looks better than every helm in the game, only drops for and can be equipped by Conceited’s characters.

I know youre being sarcastic, but i would love for it to go back to “you should only expect to get a Mythic once every 4 seasons”

They’d just nerf it anyway. Season 6: Loot Squished. Season 8: Loot Reincarnated. Season 10: Loot Revised. Season 11: Loot Revamped. Season 12: Apologies For Last Season’s Loot.
Season 23: Loot Finalized. Season 24: Loot Adjusted. Etc etc etc

I think people are making them out to be more than what they are still. Shako, TM, and RoSS benefit many sure, but you can still do everything nowadays without them. TM kinda changed the resists game, but you can use consumables if you want to.

I think we both know we’re in different camps though, I imagine we both clear seasons equally fast, I don’t want to spend an insane amount of time chasing items that have a 3 month at best shelf life.

I stopped trying to get them all after the first go round. Still managed it this season despite that and I think it’s fine. My recent shako was a nice send off.

Nah has a hidden affix “can only be buffed”.

i considered the move from t6 to t7 difficult as well, tho that was mostly due to the descecrator, which got tuned down (just like the beast of the ice)

mind sharing your stats OP?

I dunno. Tyrael’s Might ends up being a >50% damage taken reduction and ROSS ends up being a >50% damage increase.
Id like it to be otherwise, but it isnt. They’re massive swings that open doors to possibilities that dont exist in most non-S-tier builds

may i ask, do you have mythics bud?

i mean yea, of course they are great, and some can be build defining, but they arent needed really ^^

edit: btw, if your answer is no, i guess we can fix that <3
