"T4 should be aspirational"

D4 currently only has one viable class for clearing all content. Lets be real. The majority of classes wont be able to run a high enough pit level to level their Glyphs let alone dream of clearing 125+ Pit.

Balancing has been a growing concern over the last 3 seasons. It’s compounded more now by what’s clearly lazy development, no actual play testing and essentially introducing imagined choice into the game. You CAN play something else but don’t expect to get anywhere when compared to something like Spiritborn.

It’s a joke. The expansion is fine I guess, the story was ok. I didn’t pick up the expansion to exclusively play Spiritborn but I’m essentially being forced into doing so to get anywhere.

Devs will now sit in a Fireside chat and tell us it’s all rosey and nothing needs done. “T4 should be aspirational”. That’s true for every class that isn’t Spiritborn because it’s unabashidely broken and clearly tuned to be lightyears beyond anything else.

The only 5 glyphs i needed are at 46 and did them on pit 45-50. Yes i had a bunch of fails when it listed at 90-70. No need to go higher unless you want the small small small small percentage increase with each level.

You only need to clear Pit 100 to be able to max out all of your glyphs. All classes are capable.

Being able to max out your glyphs and slay bosses in the highest world tier should not be dependent on class. It should be dependent on how well you thought out your build and how much effort/luck you had towards your gear. End of discussion.

This is at this point effectively gatekeeping a significant portion of the game to a singular class.

That I understand.

But if I have 3 SB friends and they’re running Pit 150s and I’m playing with them and can do literally zero damage to anything. What’s the fun in that?

It massively detracts from the fun, at least for me.

Blizzard’s QA, Testing & Balancing efforts are essentially non-existent. As proven by almost every single one of their games over time so really I shouldn’t be surprised.

Actually no, not all classes/builds/skills are capable. No matter how good your gear, paragon, skills, etc are laid out.

I mean “all classes are capable” after 100+ hours of farming and RNG. Spiritborn can run around in two uniques and melt 125s with zero Glyphs at all. Nonsensical arguement.

They’re not capable of clearing a Pit 100?

Thats because this class is so OP right now that without any effort they can clear those high level pit to get their glyphs to 100 easy. Blizz has a QA and testing my friend. We, the players are the ones paying to test this game for them.

The <1% of the base that are claiming to clear on every class isn’t a good representation of the average players’ experience.

I have min maxed and multi-GA’d various builds in the 225 hours I’ve played this season and none cleared T100 with the exception of SB which I’ve cleared 150 on. It’s not for lack of knowledge, effort or time I assure you.

My WW/DD that use to do hundreds of millions PER dust devil and divine barrage hit (mind how many hit at once + chance to cast twice, etc) has been nerfed down to about 30 mill per hit and will likely cap out at tier 75 pit. Which means my glyphs will never see max level and T4 Torment isn’t going to happen, at least not effectively.

My gear is top tier btw. So I for one am being forced out of additional content. Not because my build sucks, or because my gear sucks, or because I didn’t invest the time and effort. Literally just because the meta is Spiritborn and ONLY they are allowed access to this content, while doing quadrillions worth of damage per second while I will probably never even see a billion.

Diablo 3 had ZDPS supports. ZDPS = Zero Damage Per Second. They are builds made to just buff allies and debuff enemies. Diablo 4 is essential Diablo 3 now so Blizzard wants you to do the same.

This should have been obvious but a game that’s been out for nearly 2 years on the budget Blizzard has available that is should be at least reasonably tested long before players get their hands on it.

It sounds like you’re suggesting that a season is a essentially a 3 month long QA session undertaken by players. The key thing about QA and testing is that is done BEFORE start charging for software

Oh maybe I misunderstood something I read then.

How are ZPDS support builds releveant in a conversation about Spiritborn? They simply don’t need or benefit from it.

I don’t know why this should even be a dream. The practical goal is to hit T4 and Pit 100. Anything above that is extra.

Once you hit Pit 125, you’re gonna be dreaming Pit 135? Pit 145? Pit 150?

3 SB friends abusing bugs/exploits to do Pit 150? Come on. Why do you expect to do any damage when you’re not running the same build. It should be expected.

Make a ZDPS if you want to play with your Spiritborn friends in Pit 150s. It’s no different from Diablo 3 if you want to play your Barbarian with your friend Wizards doing GR 150s.

So you’re saying that content that exists in a game and the tiers of difficulty there in should only be accessible and completable by not just one build but one class? I’m not sure I follow the logic.

What I am saying is those SB builds that are doing Pit 150 are abusing bugs/exploits and more than likely also copying meta (no, I bet they indeed copied). Don’t expect to hit like those unless you abuse the same build.

What classes have you played with so far this season?
