T2 should not be harder than T3

Ever. Full Stop.

Tl;Dr: What a disappointment. I’m done with Season 8. Part of the 90%* as of today. I’m pretty sure I’ll be back for S9.

Got to Torment 3 yesterday. Ran the Pit 40 solo in about 3 minutes. (Evade SB). Ran a T3 Helltide and a half dozen or so Apparition Inclusions (including two solo) and it felt good. Not struggling at all, Killed the Maiden and AI bosses, Belial (2 solo) pretty quick. Changed to T2 and tried some bossing (solo). Really struggled, lots of deaths but I persevered. Then, still on T2, went to kill Tormented Echo of Anderial for the season journey and nope, not going to happen, killed me a dozen times (or more, I lost track). So I’m done, deleted my SB. The contrast in difficulty between Pits, Open World, AIs, Heltides etc. and Bosses is absolutely ludicrous. Obviously, this season is for masochists and/or streamers. but it’s not for me.

  • Blizzard stated somewhere (in a chat I think) only 10% of players will finish T4.

If you watched the most recent chat they walked that back.

I have friends that were in T4 a few days after launch. :man_shrugging:

Hi there, Blizz here,

Welcome to being ideal average Blizz customer. Comes in, leaves disappointed but will come back regardless.

We hope you purchased the reliquary and hope that you don’t forget to check the shop before you leave for the remainder of the season. The items are limited time only and you might want some of them on your S9 journey.

/Blizz out

Well that’s good news.

Probably because they decided to break PooWave again. :hamster:

It was never going to be 10% in T4 in a genre where people copy builds. They just said this to get people worked up and to get them to play.

T2 lair bosses should absolutely be harder to kill than anything other than a lair boss in T3. If you’re farming Torment 3, then you’re working up to killing Torment 3 lair bosses.

No one should take their first step into a new Torment and go straight to farming the lair bosses, unless they stayed in the previous Torment so long and farmed so hard that they genuinely progressed beyond the next one.

They’ve walked back on so many things they’re completely untrustworthy.

Remember when masterking and tempering came out and “this is how items works now” and it wasn’t? A massive power gap was introduced between ancestral and non-ancestral, and it was almost worse? (1 temper and 4 MW levels for legendaries?)

Remember how many times they “missed the mark” on loot in general, the obol vendor, ancestral drop rate, and either upped or lowered the rates just to swing violently in the other direction next season?

Remember when were supposed to get less loot, but better quality? Well, we got less loot, all right. Every monster that’s not some sort of boss may as well not even exist. Quality? That’s a joke.

There are probably a ton more, that’s just what comes to mind the most right now.

The funniest one for me was when Rod was asked about his annual expansions comment at Gamescom and he was acting like he never said annual. “If you tell the truth, you don’t have to remember anything” - Mark Twain

“So, as we look at our quarterly seasons, and we look at our annual expansions, those are the things that we’re really focused on for our live service.” - Rod F.

I’m in T4 with my incinerate sorc and I work 60 hours a week and don’t have time to stream.

Sorc turned out to also have a major bug and it works in pretty much any build so now they can do T4 with whatever they want if they use enlightenment.

Not sure SB has any options like that, haven’t paid attention to them.

Wait, so you threw a temper tantrum because you werent good enough to clear some bosses? When you grow up you will see how juvenile this behavior is.

The problem in upgrading the difficulty is that players seeking real endgame performance are 100% forced to play a meta build.

For example, I built a perfect pure minions build that stalled entirely the second I hit T4. I then proceeded to build out a Cataclysm Druid and have started trivializing all available content, regardless of difficulty. Night and day difference.

Build diversity is kaput, DOA, shot and buried in a dark hole.

Blizz is permanently in crisis mode and should atone by massively buffing all builds to at least A-Tier. It’s the only way to rationalize the ramping up of difficulty.

I work 48 hours a week.
I’m playing with an Incinerate build and I’m taking my first steps into T3.

It’s a bit slower than last season, but it’s not the end of the world.

not quite - but they did reduce the difficulty of T4 and have gone quiet on the 10% thing - like a child pretending it never happened!

As for the bosses - you can group for them you know - but Andy is a pain in any tier because of the mayhem of her forced mechanics and one shots

I’ve never had to change between torment levels as often as this season. There’s only a few bosses I can do in T4 right now, for the rest I need to get into T3. Sometimes I forget to make the switch and find myself playing content that’s ridiculously easy or practically impossible to pull off, and I have to TP out the make the switch again. So annoying. Playing a minion build certainly doesn’t help, but it’s what I want to play this season, I’m not changing to bloody poo, I did that last season.
