I need feedback from Diablo 4 players.
Blizzard postponed the launch of Diablo 3 Season 34 at the last minute.
The cause: players were not happy that the Diablo 4 season and the Diablo 3 season started at the same time.
On the Diablo 3 forum, people do not agree.
Are Diablo 4 players bothered by these close dates?
Count me among the bothered (I was ready for S34).
But youâll only get a handful of replies from ppl who play both games, and those tend to favor D3 seasons.
The vast majority of replies youâll get are from D4 players who donât play D3 but who will hate you for daring to complain about your âirrelevantâ old hobby. Youâll probably get pots and pans thrown at you.

So what do they think the reason was? Something to do with the âaccidentalâ shut downs a few weeks ago + the messed up inventories?
I dont think it matters. D3 gets you a few hours/days to complete the full season. D4 is a week or two.
Even when a new D3 season starts I see 1 person on my friendslist, where D4 im still seeing around 30.

If the devs agree with you that D4 season takes about a week or two, they probably knew that months ago. But the postponement of S34 was probably done in the last few hours or days. Itâs intriguing.
I have already completed everything in the D3 seasons so the start dates do not matter to me.
True but at the same time as you said they would have had to know months ago. Maybe one of there outsorced servers died and didnt want additional strain of D4 
hard to say unless they specifically disclose the âwhyâ.
Blizzard has never been forthcoming with anything.
They accidentally ended S33 in Asia & EU around Jan.5, then failed to prevent the same in NA despite several hours to react⌠all due to a âmiscommunicationâ of some kind. Some players who havenât asked for an account rollback, found that when Blizzard tried to reverse the changes, a lot of stash contents (which had transitioned to non-seasonal?) were purged. Idk how many players were affected. Itâs possible itâs to do with that + related fallout, and nothing to do with D4 schedule.
Also, the Darkening of Tristram event ends in a week⌠idr if it ever spanned 2 adjacent seasons before & if such a thing would cause problems, so that could be a factor⌠i.e. D3 being in maintenance mode = the overseers donât know what theyâre doing.
What do you mean complete the season? I have 2 maxed chars already lol didnât take anywhere near a week⌠You mean the battle pass?
They had a super bad mishap last season whereas the season ended early, without warning, because someone mixed up dates. Then they tried to bring it back, chaos ensued. They might still be trying to recover data.
The entire season journy and BP. Oh it takes no time to get to 60 without being carried. I think I casually did it in 5 hours. Could have gotten down to 3-4 if I focused.
D4 is just as sad as D3 in this way.
