Support k&m for console players

Will there be any possibility that in the future patches to get k&m support for console players?
We have so little options or nearly at all for stash management or to quicly see some infos about our characters ( mana, xp bar etc. )
Also , for some of us that we played Diablo in the past on PC it would make our lives easier ) … ITS 2023 and its a cross platform game… Maybe Blizzard should think about this also …

Be careful Chester, there’s people on here who will crucify you for suggesting such obvious and basic capability like that since apparently their opinion should be taken like universal law by everyone online.

I can agree with this. No response that I know of either if it’s planned to be implemented in the future.

It’s all about fixing high loot drops in a loot game. The loot will be worth nothing in the future. The only value it holds for me is entertainment for the present. Top gear is only attainable through luck or exploit. I bet you’ll start seeing a lot of streamers getting it soon. Streamers will be posting “3 Ubers an hour!” My character will not be on some hall of fame or something like that at the end of it all.

Sorry got off topic.(M&K) Yep, there is no way to hover over player portraits, loot what you need off the ground or salvage effectively, communicate with others effectively, or maneuver well enough to fight Uber Lilith. I know some of you can but they all stated how many times they’ve ran it to do so. I’m not about that and it’s ok if the game is going on that direction, just let me know if it is. I played Elden Ring NG+5 and I never had to do anything that many times to work around bad hit box mechanics and randomness.

Like I stated before, there is a tremendous lack of response to players issues. Exploits by streamers are the priority. It has made me where I want to exploit as well to just finish end game content. That’s just not my style so I’ll have to take a break for a while until it gets addressed or I know there is an intention to address this.

Watch out, I can smell those feces particles coming to defend Diablo like it’s their girlfriend.

Weird that you decided to choose Elden Ring as your “look guys, m&k is only way to play” because we all know controller is best in all Borne/Souls type of games from FromSoft. Only thing keyboard and mouse is better in Elden Ring is “zips”. But of course at that point you’re not really playing game anymore because you don’t even have to fight anything.

No to m&k until they add input based matchmaking.

The devs have repeatedly said no. At first they said it diplomaticly but people kept on asking, if i recall correctly the April video blog it was asked again and the developer flat out said NO! with no pretense or innuendo.

I chose Elden Ring because it has boss fight mechanics like no other. Diablo 4 can’t and won’t be able to pull those fights off. There are plenty of one shot mechanics in that game but you can also beat that game with level 1 gear. Using evade in Diablo isn’t accurate at all with one shot mechanics being a thing. If you’re satisfied with just a controller, great. Should have an option for both considering a lot of console players had to jump ship from mac to play on console.

I’m sure this will anger someone because players love to not hear other opinions these days if it doesn’t fit their side. Weird, Diablo and StarCraft used to have great communities where people didn’t have overreactions and their opinions could be heard. I never said the game was complete trash or it’s the worst I’ve ever played, I only put out an opinion of the game. Nobody needs to be fired or trash like that.

Ok… little confused on your response to me just pointing out the facts of what the devs said.

As far the community now days… well diffrent generation of gamers and of the internet itself. Back when Diablo and Starcraft first released it was Gen Xers mainly with older Millenials. Its was a diffrent culture. Most communicated like they were in person and had thicker skin when it came to debating issues.

Now days its dominated by younger millennials and zoomers a generation that grew up communicating online some times more so then in person. They grasped the reality of being anonymous being able to type whatever they want with very little repercussions. They also grew though in echo chambers thanks to google,Youtube, and Facebook algorithms being sheilded from opposing views.

So this leaves one generation who communicate differently then the other being in the same mixing pot.

I personally believe the internet did a disservice to the younger generation. Though its inevitable that this would happen. They were the first to really be raised in this new form of social structure and it takes time for cultural to evolve. The Alpha generation hopefully will have a more balanced view of online culture and real life.

I wouldnt mind KBM support, but im fine with controller. I played beta ONLY to see how it played with a controller since blizz arent allowed to add KBM to this game by sony/xbox for controller sales reasons. However PS5 will be my First and Last console purchase ever, PC is the master race. Sick of games not adding KBM support. While on PC i can take my PS5 dualsense and play whatever i want.

Oh sorry, I clicked the wrong reply buttons. I meant to respond back to the person who asked why I chose Elden Ring to support my opinion on boss fight mechanics since it’s mainly a controller game.

You’ve got an excellent view on the reasons why the community is the way it is. It looks like the YouTube comments section and for good reason.

I’ll try and find that Dev video of them saying no and that’s a bummer if that’s still the case.

If this helps, 1:47.00 time stamp the community manger asks the devs about mouse and keyboard support. Just so its clear the guy on the far left is the community manger, the two in the middle are Diablo 4 developers and the guy on the far right is a youtuber guest host.

I think keyboard and mouse should be supported, but only after a rework of how targeting, and possibly other things, work with a controller, because they are worse than they should be. Worse than every previous diablo release (save for D1 on PS1) for some unknown reasons.
