Suggestion (with picture) - 📜 item tooltips are big and annoying, what can be done about it?

Picture of suggestion: https://imgur.com/a/rhpEiSp

The anchor for the inventory tooltips of items and equipment in Diablo 4 has a vertically fixed position on the left from your mouse cursor position. Problems:

  • :x: This means that hovering left from item to item has always the tooltip blocking my view.
  • :x: Furthermore, the tooltip is very big and contains information that just isnt needed for players after a while.

What I suggest is:
  1. Where possible, the tooltip box is aligned with the upper left corner of an item (icon) to give a clear view on adjacent items vertically and horizontally.
  2. The tooltip information gets a redesign, scrolling is a no-go. Share lines where it makes sense.
  3. Let players decide on what can be disabled in more detail (e.g. Tutorial on keys/buttons, item power, sell value, masterworking, durability).
  4. Add a keybind to switch between detailed and abridged information (similar to crafting with materials on PTR 2.0)
  5. Display requirements like accountbound, class and level only if not fulfilled.
  6. Add option to scale the tooltip box.

This should make tooltips overall more easy on the eyes and move important information closer to the mouse and icon.

I also want to add one of my previous suggestions on tooltips in the chat window, as it is kind of related: Suggestion - linked items in chat should display their tooltip on mouseover
