This is not like the first time I’ve talked about this but kinda want to “summarise” everything in this one thread
1 - We don’t need more skills on the skillbar, we need more impact diversity of existing skills
2 - We don’t need to make everything work, keep the “basic” concepts, but add on top of them a bit
3 - There would be a bit better/bigger reward for commitment (something to sink our teeth into) even at times when “endgear” is (somewhat) missing
That being said, would like to post a few examples, and have you guys think of some yourselves maybe…
So, first things first, how would talents work ?, unlock on level 5 (skill level 5 being minimal) and then pick one of the Talents to “finalise” your build
Here are some examples:
Frenzy:
-
After hitting 5 stacks on Frenzy you also gain % armor equal to 35% of your total bonus movement speed
-
Frenzy has a 65% LH chance to Daze targets for 3 sec., but this effect does not happen if having more than 4 stacks of Frenzy
-
LH - while on 5 stacks Frenzy has a 35% chance to deal 130% Bleed damage over 7 sec
Double Swing:
- LH - Double swing has a 15% chance to cast Vulnerable to elites
- LH - Double swing has a 15% LH chance to cast Double swing another time for free
- Every 15th Double swing against immobilized targets or targets attacked from rear/behind drop a Potion of Healing but you no longer do Critical hits
Shred:
-
Killing more than 5 mobs at a time with Shred give you a % damage as Poison equal to twice the amount of mobs killed with the final swing. This effect can occur once every 12 seconds and lasts for 3
-
Shred now does 20% more damage in 1v1 combat, however being under effect of CC disables this effect for 7.5 seconds before kicks in back again
-
Final hit of Shred has 20% LH chance to drop a Spirit Offerings pot which increases damage of all skills by the amount of Spirit in that pot for 2.5 sec
Hydra:
-
Hydra does 15% less damage to distant targets but does 25% more to close enemies
-
Hydra has 7% chance per head to summon another Hydra on kill that has 1 less head than it’s original for up to 3.5 sec.
-
Hydras will now shoot at a slower rate but with simultaneous and deliberate direction, in a 30% angle arc always facing the current position of the player that summoned them
IMO, THAT’s the kind of stuff we need, a not-insignificant buff to every skill after we commit to it quite a bit that specialises/capitalises part of it’s original identity (no hard conversions or hard alterations of original skill, just emphasise something related to it) rewarding a certain playstyle (potentially)
In general regarding skill-trees and/or usage of skills, don’t think that bad that we have to use a Generator 90% of the time or not being able to use 2 Core skills 95% of the time, however we need variations/flavoured-variation of every skill that can broaden-up some differences/builds, whaddya think ?
