Very much needed if leaderboards are coming. Im watching streamers RIP characters, instantly re-roll, have a few level 100 chatters just run them through dungeons while the streamer AFKs. They are level 50-60 within an hour or two. I also have guild mates that have done this as well.
Without an SSF, these folks will group up & cheese the power level system. Solo players dont stand a chance at getting on leaderboards.
We will have to see what they do there. I am kind of hoping they leave leaderboards out of it as they never really had a place in games like this. Even in d3 they were pointless. You could hit the leaderboard easily without much effort and no real point other than bragging rights. Which I can see being important to some people but for the majority they couldnt have cared less about them.
The entire concept of a leaderboard holds zero value or legitimacy without a ssf tag. I doubt it comes in season one… I’m going to play season one but likely won’t play after that until ssf tag is created. The gap between the solo and group player is just absurd.
