Hello everyone,
I would like to share an idea that I think could be very exciting for Diablo 4: the integration of optional WASD controls.
A great example of this feature can be found in Path of Exile 2, where WASD movement has been implemented excellently. It allows for more direct character movement, which can be particularly appealing for players who prefer greater control during intense battles or those coming from games with direct control schemes.
I believe that such an option could add an extra layer to Diablo 4, without replacing the classic mouse controls—just offering players an additional choice.
Of course, this control method would need to harmonize well with the existing combat system, but I’m confident that Blizzard’s team could implement it brilliantly.
What do you all think? Would this be a meaningful addition to Diablo 4? And how do the developers see this?

Keyboard control is vintage, why implement it? Right now you got mouse or a gamepad. More control than that?
For instance, i use a mouse that doen’t even requires me to have my hands on the keyboard…

D4 already have this feature… check it out in the game options.

I tried WASD on some game that was similar to WoW. I can’t do it. Give me a mouse and keyboard any time…
or maybe a Gamecube controller…

D4 already has WASD. They implemented it a few seasons ago.

Not as good as in that other arpg, but it is in D4 allready.

And BTW WASD is the greatest idea for control - I use it in Poe2 and this is brilliant!
Okay this is the second thread complaining that WASD isnt in the game. Its been in the game since season 3. Have you folks been MIA since season 3 or blindly listening to an idiot streamer?

Seriously, this was a HUGE topic of discussion from when the game launched until earlier this year when it got put in the game. I was one of the biggest supporters for it and after it got implemented in S3, I even necroed some threads just to rub it in the faces of the posters who told us to go play something else.(I look forward to doing the same when DC becomes soloable.)
Thats why these recent threads are so baffling. The only way to be ignorant of WASD is if they havent been playing the game since late last year. Anyone who hasnt been playing for that long, their opinion on the state of the game means nothing.

Just gonna have to wait for certain people who dislike D 4, and dislike people who defend D 4 to respond, with some sort of Excuse over their ignorance. Probably by personally attacking said individual.
