Hello folks!
I had an idea yesterday while playing Diablo 3. Perhaps it will be of interest to some of you.
In Diablo 3, you can reach level 70 relatively quickly if you find someone to push you. Whether you want that or not is up to you to decide. I think it’s great, because I don’t want to run the campaign or anything else umpteen times to level up a character if I’ve already done it once. So here’s my idea of how the whole thing could be implemented in Diablo 4 without having the same procedure as in Diablo 3.
What if you HAD to level up your first character (maybe to level 65/70 or so)? Then you can craft an item that you get from a recipe that you get from a quest or a purchasable item that takes another character directly to level 50. To do this, you need consumables, which you can find by levelling your main character or by killing bosses in the endgame. You could almost completely skip the tedious levelling phase and start directly with a level 50 character. You would have all the talent points and could start straight away. At the same time, you still have 50 levels ahead of you to enter the paragon board and expand it. There’s still enough to do, but you could start straight away without having to mess around.
Is that a good idea or am I wrong?
bad idea. it only takes a few hours to get to 50 by yourself. if you have a friend run you through dungeons your talking less than 30mins. it doesnt need to be easier.

By a few you mean 2. PTR was ridiculous with the next xp buff.

Why not lvl 100? As they have given us the option to skip the campaign, they can just give us the option to skip the lvling process entirely and start with a lvl 100 char.
Joe Piepiora in the previous Campfire said that they want players to get to lvl 100 fast(er) so they can get to the end game (in the last Campfire he also basically said that their definition of “end game” changed from lvl 50+ to lvl 100 now), that’s why they made the lvling process even faster in S4. The next logical step would just let players get to lvl 100 instantly and play the end game contents.
S4 is even easier to level.
I measured it:
I hit lv 24 at the end of my first Helltide
36 by the end of Helltide 2 (and a good 15 minutes of that was reading things in-game)
Helltide 3? I was 45.
That’s literally 3 hours into S4 with a fresh character. Players are going to hit 100 in sub-10 hour speeds. I wouldn’t be surprised if a speed freak clocked 100 in less than 5.
Helltides are MASSIVE XP gains, plus you can do Whispers inside of them. Chests in WT1/2 costs just 100 Cinders, and those are nice source of XP too. It’s unknown if that cost will hit Live or not, but it definitely sped things up considerably.

I boosted someone to lvl 50 in one hour include WT3/WT4 unlock. Not sure why you still need this new items. So just need to have enough gold and goto discord say I want Boost
Why not give us level 21 glyphs. Why not give us the Ubers. Why not give us perfectly rolled gear in every slot. Why not just click the buttons for us. As they have given us stuff before to make the game easier might as well give us everything.
Be patient, one at a time.
They give us “free” 3 Resplendent Sparks in S4. One more in the next season (should be from easy task like completing NM100) and we can get a free Uber.
Why do you play Diablo 4? If you don’t want to actually go through the core parts of the game.

it’s an aarpg , a farming game.
if you remove the farming part of the game : what will there be left ?
Also, an alt is most likely a different class than the previous one (most of the time) : it makes no sense for you to be able to skip leveling classes you never played.
Considering even different builds on the same classes don’t play the same.
Also : it would be rather bad for hardcore mode aswell.
The problem with the game is between lvl75 and 99, speeding up (or skipping) early game won’t fix it. Fix what is broken

75-99 isnt a problem. it takes like no time at all. what is so problematic about it?
No no no, here’s a better idea with way much less effort!
What if Blizzard put in the in game shop like a pass or something like that, they can call it World Tier 4 Pass (sounds awesome doesn’t it?) and you buy it for like, I don’t know, let’s say 60$ and it will give you a boost to level 70 with a full set of starter ilvl ancestral gear for a build of your choice!
And, I mean, why stop there honestly. How about an END GAME Pass. Sounds crazy cool. 100$ for a level 100 character decked out in 925ilvl ancestrals ready to pwn some uber bosses!
Don’t think so small my friend, why go to all that trouble?
Considering exp to 50 take around 2 hours I see almost no point in this addon. Lots of effort for almost nothing.
To support Blizzard financially, of course, like most of us here.
You mean basically the Robot from your Island in Lost Ark?
Sure why not? As long as the power level costs something like gold or mats.
Honestly this problem was always due to pacing of the loot that was dropped. While I don’t think they fixed this issue directly, the existence of the pit and master working should provide something to chase through these levels. Someone who actually leveled through PTR would be able to tell you how they feel. I did not, I used the NPC in Kyovashad to get to 100.
They fixed (marginally) with introduction of GAs, but might also have introduced other problems along with it (Rares in the trash can and reducing Uniques in relevance), we’ll see how it goes tbh

They said they did 1 pass on the uniques after PTR. There maybe some changes that help keep them competitive.
