How about the leveling and gear drops and monster buffs for pit and bosses etc are left unchanged for season 8 (and onwards) for the Eternal realm. Make it truly Eternal by making everything static and leaving it at that, for example making Season 7 be the basis for Eternal realm. Of course, bug fixes, game balance adjustments and gear/power changes will still apply.
With Season 8 changes forcing more people to adopt the meta (I don’t think it will spawn diversification as the devs intended), it will be harder for Eternal realm builds that do not have the seasonal powers and mechanics. Also with this trend to forcing players to group to clear content, Eternal realm players will be at a disadvantage as most as playing solo. Often I find I am doing World Bosses solo.
I do play seasonal as I like the challenges and power boost each season gives but I like taking it more casual by popping into Eternal.
As one who plays primarily eternal now (tired of seasonal power flavors); I always thought that would be exactly what eternal was. Blizzard of course doesn’t have the two environments (that I know of) to deliver these results.
IMHO the only thing coming to eternal from seasons should be the things they want part of the base game and seasonal things should NEVER impact eternal and yet today they do exactly that…
Current S7, prompt for going to the tree of whispers even includes or a crow; there are no crows in eternal.
Yes, it is fair that pit 80 in the eternal is close to pit 80 in the kingdom with season with power buff. I think it would be a good option to leave it as it is. Just increase T4 to pit 74 and leave the pit as it is.
Eternal should have stability and consistency. They have went out of their way to ensure the exact opposite.
It is more than likely that Eternal does not generate the revenue they desire so they resort to tactics like this to encourage players to seasonal where they can use lame manipulations and parlor tricks to get your money.
They are so focused on revenue they fail to see the bigger picture. Dollarablo 4 has evolved into a 3-ring clown show.
Without stability of loot/builds/skills/classes/paragon board (quite a bit just changes too much all the time) which might be purpose driven to make stash issues less important, eternal for me is dead.
