It feels like that for people who don’t actually run NMDs.

I remember when I did the obducite farm video for my BL build. People were coming at me with “nmd’s not optimal” blah blah. These idiots literally do not even know what they’re talking about & they’re trying to tell me what’s up. On torment 4, NMD’s for me average about 1k.
While sure, Tributes & Hordes can offer more at one time, those keys are finite & you can’t get them consistently enough to maintain those big ‘hits’ to truly make it the better option. While on the other hand, you can make a NMD sigil for essentally nothing, do a run real quick and get 1k to play around with.

Hordes offer more but the also take longer.
Consider this, when you enter Torment 4 or any torment. You can almost assuredly do a NMD, but you may not necessarily be able to clear a IH to the degree you want at that point. Sure when you gain power then it makes sense to go to IH. But as you just enter… NMD were increased in their Obducite to fit this spot for people. One of the few unadvertised changes they made for S6 that was actually good.
So if you have like 3 minutes before you need to go somewhere NMD’s make more sense to run to get Obducite. The only thing is you need to full clear it, open all chests and sutff, even do the event for the value to be there.
