Subterranean Aspect OMG FUN - Poison Creeper Cast Aoe Landslide

The most fun I ever had in this game was just now. I had the Subterranean aspect and decided to try it. Been running a lighting storm, Creeper, Bulwark, Hurricane for lvling.

Anyways Poison Creeper makes Landslide a giant Aoe and Earth skills do 40% more damage when they hit poison enemies. I used the landslide aspect so you cast 2.

So the effect was Poison creeper Landslide does a domino Aoe then does it again backwards. SOOOOO much fun. I took the Boon for a chance to reset Companion skills.

So when I can get resets you mow down the screen. It’s great too for kiting if lower lvl doing higher level trash packs. Since they are immobilized.

Unfortunately I tested this on a lower item level and now outgrew it. So the hunt begins to find another one and try to make a full build out of this. This could have some crazy synergy and scaling. Since you are casting a Core skill with Creeper.

Not sure how I want to even scale it the best? Well time for sleep made it too 48 lvl. Beat the Capstone to get too WT3 with this build.

The question is do the landslide from Poison Creeper count as a core skill? For example does the affix that increases core skill damage for each active companion work on creeper’s landslides?

I have been having a weird interaction. The landslide cast from the poison creepers isn’t dealing anywhere near as much damage as it should. Are you having this problem too?

Can get on codex with season pass rewards

It should still be a core skill. So was thinking all core abilities modifiers. Max Landslide, didn’t have it on bar. It’s passive. Was hoping everything worked with it.

I’m not super familiar with what Landslide should be doing? Never even looked at that ability till this Aspect. Since it’s new the interactions probably wonky. I did max landslide and it’s passive thinking that it was buffing this.

Also I was doing Nature’s Fury key passive. I actually got a tornado to proc. So I hit Creeper double Landslides happened and then a Tornado.

are you blind? it deals no damage. how is that fun?
damn white knights.

I mean I cleared the capstone with it as my main attack. Then under level I used it to clear Helltide. Does it scale? Idk. Just tried it and didn’t build around it.

Coolest animation and most fun way I’ve done damage. Always wanted to use Poison Creeper as a main attack and now I could.

If you look at my thread history it’s the furthest thing from white knights since I’ve heavily criticized this unfinished, bugged, unbalanced mess. There is only 3 playable Classes now. I just said I found something that was cool and I enjoyed it.

Way to have a hilariously wrong take and over reaction.

Edit - So some testing. I have the Heart where Basic and Core skills have a 17% chance to restore your resources. So I waited till I got the buff. Then I ONLY cast Poison Creeper and eventually I did get a proc from the Landslide and it filled my Spirit too full. So the game recognized it as a Core skill in that interaction.

except for the fact that the aspect is bugged and not working correctly.

It’s partially bugged.

So the reason why some ppl have no damage and some do. Is because the Aftershock aspect unbugs Subterranean. I was running Aftershock and why it was fun and clearing the capstone and screen. The multipliers start working with Aftershock.

Don’t get me wrong it’s still buggy. However it does work with Aftershock.

Figured it out you need Aftershock aspect to unbug it. Maybe cause it cast 2 landslides the 2nd one registers and add in the damage/multipliers.

The bear charge (Sorry dont know the name in english) Also works the double landslide, so you can have 3 skills.

No he is not blind, it does indeed do decent damage. I’m lvl 89 and it clears trash mobs easily.

I’ve been using it more w/claw/shred/rabies/creeper/blurred beast build (shred & creeper lvls 9, others lvl 5) nothing in earth. I’m only lvl 72, and doing low 20s NM dungeons, but both mobs and elites seem quicker. W/o a damage log hard for me to say how it’s all interacting.

Edit: I run a nature’s fury build and storm stuff seems to proc more, so it may count as a core cast to answer earlier question.

Dam that’s wild. I’m 53. Thought I was moving somewhat fast.

I hope you’re right that the Aftershock aspect unbugs it, don’t have it to test that myself yet though.

You can watch Datmodz he is running a version of it right now.

I didn’t know Aftershock unbugs Subterranean, but it may be true.

My eternal realm druid has both aspects and it works fine.

My seasonal druid doesn’t have Aftershock yet and it’s doing 1/10th the tooltip damage.

Yea the 2nd Landslide is where all the damage is at. So hopefully they will have a fix for it. However the first wave seems bugged still. Not sure if it’s all the time. Just know the Aspect is at least making it work.

I had already planned to go Landslide before seeing the seasonal mechanic. Then I saw the powers of the Malignant Hearts and knew what I wanted to shoot for, and this is precisely it. And earlier today I got the right pieces.

OMG, I am loving this. And that before considering my buddy running a Necromancer who drops Corpse Tendrils every few seconds. Tonight was a crazy ride.

What hearts and pieces?

Yea it’s super fun mechanic. Think there could be a lot of ways to build this. I do want to go heavy poison route though, I think.

Continuing the discussion from HOTFIX 3 - July 21 - 1.1.0:

Edit- looks like whatever what happening isn’t now.

The key pieces are:

  • Inexorable Force - Up to 30-50 Distant enemies are pulled toward you while you have an Ultimate Skill active.
  • Subterranean Aspect - Poison Creeper’s active also casts Landslide in a circle around you. Earth Skills deal 10-20% increased damage to Poisoned enemies.
  • Aspect of the Aftershock - Landslide’s earth pillars each strike a second time and deal an additional (XX)% bonus damage per hit.

Theis more you can (and should) add, but those make life worth living.

What I madly need/want is:

The Barber - Critical Strikes and all subsequent damage within 2.0-4.0 seconds is absorbed by your target. Then, the absorbed damage erupts onto surrounding enemies. Stored damage is increased by 10% per second.
