Stygian Stones drop is bugged or intentional?

So i did Infernal Hordes, maybe 20 or 30 lvl 5/6 to farm some Obducite, leveled 8 Glyph from lvl 15 to lvl 21 in lvl 100 Dungeons, did some Pit runs for Obducite.

And got 1(one) Stygian Stone, “ONE”!
How the living Hell are they selling “THOUSANDS” of Stygian Stones on battle . net?

I am really slowly loosing interest in playing if grinding and grinding just isn’t enough to get needed Boss Materials.

Oh Btw the GA drop “SUCKS” big time, found somewhat of 10 GA out of 1000 drops. Mostly 1 GA and the few 2/3 GA where 'health per second/life given/resistant".
So mostly worthless.
If you get no or hardly any Stygian Stones, how can you farm tormented Bosses for better Gear?
Buy dubbed Boss Materials and risk getting banned?
Enlighten me Blizzard how this is good Game play!?

They start to drop from mat chest T6+. You wont get them in T5.

Im doing T7-8 depending on the character im playing im getting 0-6 ss for every 700e. It is rng but they are in abundance.

Ive gotten some really good items in the 60e ga chest.

It happens in all arpgs. But if your searching for ss dont do T5.

Sometimes luck is good, sometimes its bad. There have been a couple days i got next to none and some I have a big hual.

If i remember right i got the ss from World Boss and not from T6.

Needed BM should be a guaranteed drop of 1 plus rng.

So all those thousands of SS selling on battle . net are farmed Stone?
Selling for 20 million a piece!
If they where in “abundance”, they would sell for million/ish!

Buddy maybe start doing content where you are able to drop stygians.

Bcs NMD and lower drop don´t drop it :roll_eyes:

If you maybe read my Post in whole, then you would have noticed that i did “IH lvl6”.

Nothing should be guaranteed in an arpg. RNG should always be the focus on any type of drop.

Idk what they sell for because they are easy to farm but you need to be doing ih t6+.

Anything less than H7 is irrelevant if you are looking for stygians.

Every time there is a complaint from someone about anything RNG controlled, there are other with the exact opposite experience.

I got a few Stones doing IH6 (max I can do). Then many IH6 runs without seeing one. I have no idea what the drop rates are in IH so I went back doing Pit runs for the Stones. At least, I know what the drop rates are (or were?).

I did more than a 100 Pit runs, Pit 91 and Pit 101. Got 3 Stones in total. More than 60 consecutive runs without seeing one (half P101/half P91). That doesn’t make sense. RNG cannot always be an excuse.

Well rng in general is like that.
Chance to win a Jackpot each and every spin (or run dry for hundreds) unless you got controlled rng, which is somewhat fair depending on the odds provided.

Hence why i suggested a guaranteed drop + rng.

No, RNG is not like that, at least if we consider a true random process. With a 18% drop rate, one cannot do 100 runs and get 3 Stones, unless it is not 18% or the RNG is really broken.

Get lots of stones in t7 t8. The pit is also good if you can do 91-101s in 3 minutes or less. If your build can’t do it, make a lightning spear sorc, like me lol :laughing:

But without getting better Gear by farming Tormented Bosses as my GA rng sucks i am stuck at T6.

Players who can do IH7 or IH8 don’t run the Pit anymore. I don’t have a LS Sorc. I choose Fireball. No IH7 for me but maybe still doable with better gear. I can do Pit 91 or Pit 101 in 4 to 5 minutes but it is almost useless. All the Stones have been moved to the IH vaults.

Sorry to bust your bubble but Rng works that way unless controlled rng.

For example:
you have 3 numbers and a rng that chooses out of those 3, rng will choose a number out of those 3 each and every turn and it could be the same or different each turn.

Now if you control it in a way maybe like have 10 true rng and then give a number guarantied based on x odds and then rng again.

So if your unlucky like me you prefer example 2.

they should add another loot box called the 100 cost stone box. Limit 1 like the 60 cost chest. Just have that offered from tier 3* (I know the 60 chest isnt in tier 3). Just make it so 100 coins - 1 stone

also, any chance to just have the mats chest work like the gold chest? click it once and have all your coins that are multiplies of 20 just go off at once? clicking open on the 20 coins almost takes longer than the council fight itself! lol

tier 3 = 100 coins for 1 stone 100%
tier 4 = 100 coins for 1 stone 99% with a 1% chance at getting 2 stones
tier 5 = 100 coins for 1 stone 95% with a 5% chance at getting 2 stones
tier 6 = 100 coins for 1 stone 80% with a 20% chance at getting 2 stones.
tier 7 = 100 coins for 1 stone 75% with a 25% chance at getting 2 stones.

I complained many times last season about the Stygian Stones being the only summoning mat relying on (broken) RNG. I don’t mind spending time playing the game for a Stone provided I know I will get one. I don’t like the fact that I spend hours trying to get one and sometimes it is just all for nothing. They are certainly plenty of way of making it better.

I do pits for obols if i need to roll for starter build pieces on another class.

Other than that i do hoards for ss.

I play abouf 3 to 4 hours a day, i generally farm enough ss to never need to buy any and my rate limiting step are boss matts.
