Stuttering and Lag makes the game unplayable

I have been playing Diablo Series since inception and I have NEVER seen the amount of Stuttering and Lag as I have in Season 9, can you please FIX this so we can at least play the game. Forget all of the balance and other issues…make it so the game is playable for everyone.

I agree. Some in this forum will argue that there is no lag because they haven’t experienced it, but I never had any lag until this season and my rig is i9, 64 MB ram and GeForce 4080 Super video and a 500 MB Internet speed. It’s NOT my computer, it’s the game!

I only LAG when in the open world around other players. Zero LAG when I am in private dungeons and stuff…definitely not my computer either.

Check your virtual memory (Page File) & expand it if at all possible in Windows settings. Outside of the occasional stutter when teleporting back to town for getting rid of excess loot, I have zero issues with lag or stutter. My specs:

Intel Core i9-13900KS
64GB 5400MHz DDR5 RAM
Asus Tuf Gaming RTX 4090
1Gb fiber internet

Also, make sure Cross Play & Raytracing Shadows are disabled. These are known to cause issues with lag/stutter. Cross Play in particular is buggy as all get go & is known to cause crashes.

Disabling Cross Play and Raytracing seemed to fix the issue.

Season 9 has been horrible for latency. I have done off of the suggestions and it still seems to be an issue. I am well above minimum specs for this game and the other seasons worked well for me.

Frustrating is the only way to describe the situation. Sucks

You’re welcome. Cross Play & Raytraced Shadows are notorious for causing issues. The former is known to crash the game. Disabling these fixed all performance & stability-related issues for me months ago.

After about 5 minutes loading into the game it does perform better, however I do still find periods where the screen just slows down to like 1FPS and all of a sudden BAM…I am dead. I would expect this at beta, I would expect this with a significant overhaul adding in new graphics or something, but not on some random mediocre season

It’s only been 9 seasons geez have some patience.
