While there may be other issues going on (video memory, etc), I override Windows 10/11 ‘Control Flow Guard (CFG)’ exploit protection for all my games now.
On Windows 11:
- Settings → Privacy & Security → Windows Security → Open Windows Security → App & Browser Control → Exploit Protection Settings → Program Settings
- Add program to customize and select the d4 exe
- Scroll down and select ‘Override system settings’ for Control flow guard (CFG). Turn it off.
