Stunlocking snake eyes

It’s one of the reasons I slot topaz gems in my armor and spent 3 ability points in the Barbarian passive that reduces CC duration. It’s not so bad though. I’ve learned to dodge them well enough and to make killing the Oracles a priority.

What grinds my gears is the affliction where mobs enrage for each enemy you kill near them. So if you have a huge pack of elites and non-elites, the elites quickly get jacked up into one shot range. That and wraiths or whatever they’re called. One of the more obnoxious moops in the game.

A diminishing return on enemy CC would be a good start.

If you’re facing multiple mobs that CC, with more CC than you have to break with unstoppable, I suggest priority targetting one of those threats first and eliminating it from the equation.

If you decide to let the designed sponge mob of the family take all your intial dps, prepare for a nastty fight.

I don’t see a problem with the CC / CC break in the game that requires DR on CC. But I main a rogue and we excel at controlling the fight

If they keep chain insta CC, they need to let all classes have the ability to spec perma cc immunity like tri shout barbs and bulwark druids.

It’s just bad design otherwise.

The complete lack of any kind of diminishing returns on enemy CC is the overall problem.

Stats like reduced CC time or reduced damage while CC’d are meaningless, because enemies can just keep repeating their CC attacks with no cooldown and no eventual immunity.

It doesn’t matter if you get your CC duration down to 2 seconds if enemies can spam 5 CC abilities per second, and it doesn’t matter if you’re taking 50% less damage when CC’d if you’re perma CC’d; it’s almost better to not have the damage reduction and just die faster.

There are multiple options for unstoppable available to each class.

Some as legendary aspects in the codex.

I’ll take immunity over DR any day

“spec perma cc immunity like tri shout barbs and bulwark druids.”

Do you have any idea how long it takes to acquire the items necessary for that build?

Yea, the only problem is that there’s so much unavoidable CC that short bursts of immunity are also meaningless. If you can’t have unstoppable up for 90% of the fight you’re gonna get perma CC’d.

I think if you’re watching the eye has a very slow wind up and travel time and you should see it coming.
Also after the first time you die to those snakes you should learn for next time that the big snake that fights in melee and the caster snake in range are able to combo their stuns back to back so don’t do something stupid like get knee deep in it while both have yet to cast their ability and you will be fine.

I hate the Snake eyes above all other CC effects. Nothing else in the game bothers me like these do since my first encounter with them I have hated them and that has not changed. I actively avoid parts of the game be it open world or dungeons that have them

I simply avoid those dungeons.

Any of the dungeons I know are a chain of stunlocks are a no go.

Are you aware that unstoppable breaks the cc?

I.E. wait until the CC hits you, you’re now frozen, you can now use your unstoppable ability to break the freeze and become immune to it. Then melt the mobs that cc you.

How are y’all not melting the mobs that CC you?

Not all builds melt everything in the 2 seconds after you burn a long CD to break CC, and literally the second you can be CC’d again you will be, permanently.

It sounds like a flaw in the build if you ask me.

What are you running?

Class and aspects?

The only thing i would suggest is inecrease the lock on timer of the snake eyes by 1s.

I’d love to melt mobs in 2 seconds if only I didn’t need 5 seconds mashing my Basic Skills for enough resource…

I do, as best I can. But when there’s an absolute horde around you, and us not being able to WASD to move, trying to click somewhere to move, or to get into a position where one can actually target someone, when all other cooldowns are, well, on cooldown. There is no way to do so.

Just simply stuck, mouse moving won’t work. If they’d get off this stupid click to move bullsh$t, maybe that could be an option.

Yeah the eyes suck when there are a lot of them. What I hate more is cold enchant. I get frozen back to back to back to back and it killed my dungeon. Nothing I could do about it either. There were just too many elites stacked in the room. Couldn’t even really kite them. I would get frozen eventually on top of trying to avoid the exploding fire crap and other things. This game needs DR on CC. I only have one cc breaker on like an 8 second cooldown
