After finishing downloading the most recent patch, my game is now stuck on the “hellgate” loading screen, just after I’m supposed to have logged into battle.net.
I ran scan and repair, which returned no issues.
At the moment I am unable to play Diablo 4.
Edit: After twenty minutes of the “hellgate” load screen, I have now been informed that glory awaits me in the new game mode, and I now have access to my characters. I will tentatively submit that my problem may be resolved, but I will return here if it reoccurs.
2nd edit: Now five minutes in to “queued for game - start game pending…” followed by another infinite hellgate.
Just going to shut down for the night.
3rd edit: Hellgate loading screen has been up for twenty minutes. My computer and internet are both fine.
So your recent update, of content that I personally didn’t want, and will not play, has seemingly broken the game for me. How nice for me that I picked this season to upgrade to the Ultimate Edition.
As I’ve been sitting here, the game did finally load my characters, and now I’m “queued for game - game start pending…” for the last five minutes again, followed by another hellgate loading screen, which I guess I’ll wait to see what’s on the other side of this time. I’ve been sitting here for 30 minutes waiting for this game to load.
