Same problem here for a week. Ran fine at the start of season 4, now I usually can’t get pass the queued for game screen. When I do get lucky enough to actually start a game can’t go more than 5 minutes before it locks up. This sucks!

Also experiencing the same thing - can get past the queued for game screen after waiting for 5 minutes, but then it freezes… Hope they can come out with a fix here

I recently got this game and have been playing it for a week. After playing a couple hours today, and relogging once for lunch

I logged in to find I am now stuck in the infinite ā€œqueue for gameā€, that eventually dumps me back into the character selection screen. Is there any fix or update about this?

i checked my hardware, i checked my internet, im kind of at my wits end. same as everyone else, takes 5 min to load to the door screen, then it either drops me or i can barely do anything in game. Also keeps saying reconnecting to diablo at the top left, which is weird b/c im killing things although very slowly

has anyone found a solution to this issue?? i’ve tried playing the last 2 weeks and nothing…

No, almost 2 weeks for me too since I can’t enter game, stuck on character selection. On 28th will be another update, hope it will fix it

Still no reply from Blizzard on this thread? Glad I paid 89€ for this game only to have them release a patch that kills the game for some users and get absolutely 0 feedback

Damn, was hoping someone had found a magical work around. Whatever that patch did a patch or two ago really messed things up by the looks of things.

So I can select characters, and try to login, I might get in maybe once every 50 or so attempts, maybe once per day, and it could disconnect at any stage or fail to load something important like town travel points on the map requiring a reload to fix. Of course probably not going to let me back in again before I eventually have to go sleep if I do have to leave the game for any reason.

Makes no difference if seasonal or eternal characters.

Did get a few levels on some of my Diablo II characters though, and made some progress on my large fortification build in Minecraft when I got sick of the constant login attempts.

Not looking good for the D4 expansion pack whenever that is at this point.

Restarting fixed for me, but still takes a couple minutes to even log-into a game at non-peak hours.

Got the last patch, didn’t fix anything for me, I’m still stuck in queue - start game pending. This happens since 16th May, until then everything worked flawless

Today’s patch seems to have fixed it for me.

still the same ā€œqueingā€ issue…and no reply from blizzard…new update didn’t do nothing for me…

Same problem. Sometimes it login after 20+ mins of tries…

Hi everyone, I upgraded my graphics card from a 1060 to a 3080 today and got this problem. Slapped my old gpu in and runs fine. New one sometimes gets past the pending screen into the game but freezes immediately after. I have a feeling that it’s a hardware compatibility issue

I am experiencing the same problem, however it didn’t seem to start until season 4. I reached out to customer support, and here is what they recommended:

  1. Update Graphics Drivers and Windows: Ensure your graphics drivers and Operating System are up-to-date.

  2. Restart Your computer and Router/Modem: Sometimes, a simple restart of your networking equipment can resolve connection issues.

  3. Disable Background Applications: Close unnecessary background applications, as they might interfere with Diablo 4. Check for any resource-intensive programs running in the background and close them before launching the game.

  4. Flush your DNS cache and reset your network configuration. You can do this by opening the Command Prompt (on Windows) or Terminal (on macOS)

  5. Reinstall the Game: Uninstall Diablo 4, restart your computer, and reinstall the game. Corrupted installation files can lead to various issues, and a fresh installation might resolve the problem.

If, after following these steps, you are still experiencing issues, we recommend visiting the Diablo 4 forums. There, you can find a community of players and developers who can provide additional insights or solutions based on their experiences.

anyway, i tried all of that so here I am. Anyone have a fix for this yet?

I’m guessing you have one of the newest nvidia drivers? If so, downgrade to a January release as the newest ones have issues with many games including D4.

Old drivers can be found here:

I’d also recommend doing a clean install using DDU:

Instructions are midway down this page.
