Streamers are killing the game

Sorry to say and you can disagree but Ive been playing Diablo since its first release in 97. My issue is Blizzard caters to them by making these long grinding short seasons. It also seems they get fully geared and lvl as soon as a new release.
Sorry but not everyone is on their computer 24/7. FIX the gear and drop issue and make the grind only on leveling which is already.
Also for how long this game has been out, it shouldnt be that hard to balance out classes.
Rant over, lol

are you seriously saying that its hard to get gear?

I am neither for nor against streamers; only a few actually do the work themselves, while others just get things handed to them. The only time I have a problem is when I hear streamers promote doing things that get people banned: “Do this unintended method to gain an advantage.” However, there are a few decent streamers out there who actually care about the game and want to fix it, so they do test all the bugs and aspects/unique interactions to see what works or needs to be fixed.

And for the balance thing, it’s not as easy as you think it is, especially when they keep adding new aspects and unique that continue to alter or add new mechanics to existing builds. And there are so many interaction combinations; tweaking one thing could benefit one build aspect while hindering another. What they really need to do, along with balance, is make sure there are no bugs. Bugs are what are killing a lot of builds.

I dont like streamers on principle.
But they are not to blame for D4. Blizzard are.
Even if Blizzard are ruining the game by listening to the blaster streamers (and I am not convinced that is the case), it is still Blizzard who are at fault for that.

none of the issues you list have anything to do with streamers.
there’s loot a plenty
the only thing that actually takes time is p300, and that is in no way needed for any content.
and how is balance a problem caused by streamers?

and in the end, blizzard listening to feedback (does not matter from whom) and developing changes based on that, is still on blizzard,

like im pretty sure just reading there forums you’ll get feedback in every direction (too much loot - not enough loot, buff this - nerf that)
and it is on blizzard to filter this feedback, iterate on it, find the core issue that causes the feedback and implement changes to address it.

blaming the feedback for bad changes is nonsense: blizzard should know how to handle feedback, that’s their job.

Am way way way WAY too old to understand why someone would want to watch someone else play a video game.

They don’t impact me. If they are having an undue amount of influence on the game, then yeah, that sucks.

No one no matter how high-profile should matter more than anyone else.

It’s weird in other genres, Streamers provide info for people with less time on how to get better by actual tactics and how to practice and settings and such.

In this genre it is “look at this exploit I found”, and Blizzard unlike competitive shooters does not address exploits and bugs.

So yeah if you want to have fun with the game, stop watching them. There is nothing in this game you cannot learn from playing and experimenting. Ultimately all problems are Blizzard’s fault for their poor decisions. Streamers don’t make these decisions.

Unfortunatelly, we’re in the Youtube era, so today gen thinks everything is learned through videos…

When in reality you don’t learn anything…

If Blizzard caters to Them isnt IT actualy Blizzard then WHO Kills the Game?

What drop issue. There is no drop issue as loot rains from the sky.

If you played D1 and D2 you would know nothing in this game is rare and thus wouldnt be crying.

In T4 most gear isn’t what you need (legendaries), the fact that we’re inundated with this you could indeed claim there is a plethora of loot (being legendaries), but this claim does not contain anything meaningful, as the loot isn’t what you need. Yes, there is a lot of loot, but its mainly useless for the improvement one’s build.

Among the ancestrals that do drop, most are not providing the specific stat-combination, or are just plain bad. Again, useless for one’s build. In actuality, looking at getting what you’re looking for - unless you’re a big streamer - is rare. Then, if you do get it, you can still brick it and need another one.

Ancestral uniques can be target farmed, nice, still iffy on drop rates seemingly being higher for the ones you - again - do not need. At least they can be sold.

Then we got mythics, not too hard to get actually, nice.

A streamer says something and the brainless flock of sheep follow. It’s not the streamers fault; it’s the people that lack grey matter with wrinkles.

so? thats pretty normal in arpgs when you are in the endgame. you stop finding upgrades easily at one point

not really. People were done with the s7 in less than a week. me included. My build is fine.

same happens vice versa too tho. Streamers are in the end just a mouthpiece of their community.

Agreed tho, i dont care about streamers myself. im watching streams from friends to help them out, but yea, its in the background lol :stuck_out_tongue:

What streamers? There like 700 people on average watching D4.

There’s literally nobody streaming or playing this game.

You’re telling me the guy with a viewership of 30-50 people is influencing the direction of the game?

The people influencing the game are over on reddit, not streaming.

The reddit crowd seems to think ultra casual = way better.

To them, it’s ideal if you only play 20-30 minutes per week.

I just checked right now. There are 2 people making up half of D4’s 2k viewers, with 99% of the streamers having 10 viewers or less.

At that point, you’re not complaining about “streamers”, you’re complaining about a single individual.

on a side note, its amusing how you keep stating how little you like d4, yet you are here daily

Classic response when you are out of arguments.
Must suck that you are one of the few people that couldnt put a build together in less than a week.

anyway, who cares? didnt you quit anyway?

Waste of time to discuss then lol.

Interesting how a one can come up to the right conclusion based on wrong premises

First of all Streamers already KILLED the game (not a process, it has already been done), and the reason is quite the opposite of what you think it is lol

It is not because of high amount of “previously accumulated power”, although it is most definitely very bad feature in general

But it is more because they constantly agitated for optimization and efficiency at all cost

They didn’t ask for content having higher amount of playfulness or give ideas how to improve segment X, fight X, skill X, mechanics X

Instead what they DID ask for is just a real big list of conveniences, ways to optimize efficiency even that much more, and therefore even faster progression

Which oddly enough (not sure how people don’t see it) is also the FASTEST way to kill the game

Rob (you know, the one who doesn’t care if barbs are op due to bug but at the same time cries about the same when its another class), you know that one who looks like Beavis
