Short version: in the span of, say, 10 minutes, I got three identical Melted Hearts of Selig.
Long version: I ran the undercity with a friend and used a unique Resolute Tribute to force the final boss to drop several uniques with an increased chance of a mythic unique. We did this three times in a row. The second and third time, a Melted Heart of Selig dropped for me, identical to eachother.
I decided to salvage one of them for a spark. Since I already had my seasonal spark, it seemed like a good idea to me (at the time, at least) to buy a Mythic Unique cache for the friendly sum of 50 million gold. I mean, it’d be a gamble, but what could go wrong? Imagine my surprise when for the THIRD time in a row a Melted Heart of Selig dropped, identical to the other two.
I must admit I am sort of amused by what happened, and at the same time a bit disappointed. I am still the proud owner of two identical Melted Hearts of Selig, yet I no longer have my spark and am 50 million gold lighter. I suppose I could salvage the other two and try a cache again, but I am afraid I will get yet another Heart of Selig. I didn’t even want ONE in the first place …
I am wondering if I am perhaps the ‘victim’ of some sort of bug, and whether it should be reported. I am looking forward to any and all insight!
