Can this please be adjusted so that the stone only pulses if ur in combat with a mob?
So many times where I’m trying to look for something in inventory or checking my paragon build/adding a point before having to quickly dodge because the stone is about to try and kill me when I’m not nearby any enemies or if I’m trying to TP out to clear inventory.
That’s a silly response.
“Don’t do loot management in a game about loot managment.”
If I complained about how I can’t pick up mats/uniques/legendaries first when it’s piled with yellow items (as the game forces me to pick up junk first for some unknown reason) because I play with a controller I bet your response would be “Maybe don’t play with a controller?”
Good thing they removed white/blue items from higher difficulties… oh wait, they’re back and not only that but they also made EVERY SINGLE YELLOW ITEM worthless because it has 1 less stat on it.
Good thing we have loot filters… oh wait we don’t.
Good thing they made aspects up-gradable in the book to let us have more room in the stash… oh wait they made gear build specific instead of class specific with tempering so now our stash is packed with gear for different builds and items with * stats.
I swear this forums is flooded with trolls. Yikes.
You can activate it intentionally. Cross over it’s path and it’ll pulse a few times before moving again. This should give you enough time to do as you need.
I noticed that too a couple of months ago, it seemed like they increased the frequency of all the affixes so that volcano and drifiting shade barely gives you enough time to pick stuff up at the end (gotta wait until one has just appeared and set it to do that away from the drops). Like geez, chill affixes, let me pick up my drops. It’s sorta like how HT’s don’t let you TP or use your mount, and it’s supposed to be funny when you get interrupted frequently.
But that doesn’t resolve the problem of if something occurs outside of the game, I have to do proc it and teleport out of the NMD in order to not have my character get killed while I take care of said outside game thing.
Haven’t done pit runs yet, but at least I have more control over whether I pull pit boss or not and don’t need to worry about dying to an unstoppable, invincible enemy that pulses an AoE.
And if I pull pit boss, I’ll be inclined to finish the fight first.
SW doesn’t let u do that unless u tele out or complete the NMD.
Pit Boss is at the very end of Pit. U have control over when u pull it.
SW is throughout the entire dungeon, not to mention ur doing NMD’s long before u start doing pit runs.
Ur acting like being able to afk for a minute without being killed while in an untimed dungeon is a huge ask.
You’re calling for a nerf or removal of something simply because it inconveniences you to take 5 seconds out of your time to tp out. Besides, you can choose to not run the map to start with. Problem solved.
“Can this thing please only fire during combat” (u know, when most of the affixes actually matter and have an impact) is not asking the entire affix to be removed, not to mention that it would allow for more tuning to buff its damage or speed (ie stone also moves faster when u are in combat).
I’m sorry that being able to quickly afk or see another screen without having to worry about being killed is apparently too big and entitled of an ask.
Especially in last season where u’d lose stacks of the Warding buff for teleporting out of dungeons, a function of which may very well come back into play in future seasons.
That would be a reasonable tradeoff that wouldn’t feel like the removal or nerfing of something. If you’d have posted that in the OP, this conversation would have went quite a bit different. Though I am glad it proceeded, I really like that ideal.
If they at least made it to if all the loot in nmd was placed in the chest at the end(the stuff your pet can’t pick up at least) this would never be an issue. What they did with the pit regarding loot should have been done to nmd’s so we can focus on finishing first then looting.
I find it funny people gripe about this. Like there’s one awkward mechanic to work around in NMD which basically no one runs anymore (at least no without gobo’s) and it becomes people’s gripe focal point?
It might have something to do with the Ancestral Awaking. I find myself running NMD’s that I would have salvaged before because of this one sigil affix. I just deal with it though.
