I’m currently lvl 50 playing Druid, so far is fun start but skills trees look pretty much imbalanced.
The whole earth side is clearly too strong compared to storm side.
The only good usable Storm skills are basic skills.
On core skills earth Landslide is very strong with 100%crit plus crit dmg, while on storm we have tornado but the pattern is too random, and Lightning Storm which is weaker and too mana hungry.
I wanted to try a build with LS and Symbiotic aspect, which on nature’s fury passive proc lowers cooldowns on other side, but lightning storm is simply Unusable because it never procs during channeling.
So, yeah, if i want to do real dmg i’m forced to stay with Landslide, or go for Pulverize.
Also Hurricane on storm side, let’s compare it with Poison Creeper: my Poison Creeper active skill does 4000 dmg aoe over 6 seconds, while Hurricane is like 1500 dmg over 8 seconds… why such huge difference?
And what about Perfect Storm key passive? Storm skills that you cast grant 1 Spirit + dmg. Dmg is ok, but 1 spirit, is that a joke? Com’on.
Then Trample is very good skill, while Boulder on same category is the worst earth skill i never saw anybody use it.
So all around i have to stick with earth stuff (a part basic skills) or go on bear side with pulverize.
I haven’t tryed the wolf side yet, on paper i don’t like it much i think it needs lot of equip to work, but the storm side defenitively need some rework apart basic skills.
Finally what about Ultimates? Grizzly rage is Op, because kills extend duration and you can keep it up almost 100% time, while others are too situational with long cd.
But overall i like Blizzard policy of nerfing stuff, overwise if the game becomes to easy i’d get bored quickly, hopefully they’ll keep making balances, and make more type of builds viable.
