Hello, I’m here to raise a topic that, I admit, is not even remotely “relevant” to the game itself, BUT, for those who like it at least a little, it has its weight.
After managing to collect the necessary amount of platinum to buy a Rogue skin, I came across a “weird” problem (to be very polite in my definition). The problem itself is the store’s operating system, this thing of rotating the options every 24 hours is very sad because there is the possibility that the skin you want simply won’t appear…, or will take a long time to appear, which is extremely annoying. Since I bought the expansion (recently), I’ve been waiting for the store’s “good will” to finally make the desired skin available.
Why not offer ALL OPTIONS available at once? This system doesn’t make sense, it’s very stupid, sorry to those involved, but it doesn’t make sense…, imagine if every hardware store used a system like this…, you have to wait for the item to appear before trying to buy it, it’s very senseless…, anyway. I really hope they change this at some point.
oh it does, and the answer is pretty simple. It creates an artificial shortage, and thus a FOMO.
Now, we can discuss if we like, or dislike it, however, its proven to be a functioning strategy to increase sales.
So, in the end, all you can do is to be patient.
which skin is it exactly if i may ask? some skins are related to events, and might not reappear til a similar event pops up. (just to make sure you dont wait for nothing you know)
I THINK (IMO) that they rotate it is psychological. If something is available but your unsure you want to buy it, they may take it away and show something else…which then in turn makes you want to Maybe buy that skin more. ? ?
I buy skins if it’s flashy enough … The last skin I bought was that Necro Scarecrow fire looking thingy. When I was ready to buy it, It wasn’t available…which made me want to buy it even more, let alone check out what ever other skins they may have I’d consider to buy.
It’s a sneaky tactic I’m sure many online business may use.
Well it’s the cash shop so they will probably do something about that. They could make so much more from it if they made the game fun.
In sales this is called an “urgency story” if you want it you have to get it right now or you may lose your chance to have it. It is a common “Closing” technique. Also as others have mentioned when you go there “Ready to buy” and don’t see what you want, mayhaps you buy something else and check back later to see if you can get the thing you wanted.

It would be the rogue set The Callous Adversary (but with another helmet because I think the one in the set is very ugly lol). Let’s see when it will appear, I will continue to wait patiently
i agree that helm is weird, the rest looks fabulous tho! yea, its not tied to an event. ill check in a min, some dude figured you can alter your shop somehow… gimme a few mins. i cant confirm if it works, i can just share what i saw ^^
This is just more of the predatory tactics that companies use to get your to spend $. It happens everywhere too. From the check out aisles loaded with candy and drinks and magazines to 50% off sales after raising the price to prices being at 99 cents instead of on the dollar.

I was able to buy it by switching to the tw.shop.battle.net store, thanks for the help. I solved my issue, but the problem itself remains, waiting for improvements in the store and the system itself (and better free skins for all classes)

I believe I’ve seen just about everything roll back around. But if afraid, go ahead and buy when you can.
I don’t “suffer” from this, so for me it’s still bizarre.
Use the battlenet option to enter the game store and you will see more if not all the options.
This is a manipulation of your emotions to persuade you into spending your money immediately in fear of missing out.
The site options after you log in have the exact same MTX rotation as in game.
