I turned the ambient volume all the way so i wouldn’t have to listen to the constant hammering in towns. But the hammering seems it might be tied to the effects volume. But if i turn that off i won’t hear my skills. Anyone know how to make the hammers stop?
Does nerfing Hammer of the Ancients count?

Yes its linked to the effects sound so no real way to filter out the damn hammering. Wouldn’t be so bad if it faded out once you had your inventory screen up, but no! the damn hammering and other weird noises just keep on going. Needs Blizzard to create a patch to fix.
