I loved Diablo 2, I still played Diablo 3 the day Diablo 4 came out. Thanks for killing Diablo 3 by the way by crushing the player base, I have nothing to go back to now… That said, I’m stuck with 4 (or 2 I guess). I’m going to post several topics in here to separate my main ideas. Please community, let Blizzard know how you feel here. However, be aware, they will likely never see these posts, because they are above us and we don’t know what we want.

What we all play for. Why we are still here. The gear.
It keeps getting harder and harder to get purple drops. Almost every top build, uses them, and yet we don’t have crappy versions of them to use at a lower level. They are unique in the fact that they are all the exact same. Make them more common with variable stats. Let me look for a better version of the item. You guys tried so hard to come up with your own version of the red item drop, but this is not nearly as good as D3s.
WHERE ARE SETS!!! We lived for sets in D3, where are they now? It had been mentioned a couple times in the past with no real answer as to if you are going to bring some green items in here, I WANT THESE, it changes the entire dynamic of how to play a character. Give me Uldyssian’s Armor set for a barb, give him some crazy whirlwind powers or something… Stuff like that!
Legendary gear. This is okay, there is still a ton of items that will never be used. I do and don’t like that I can pull the aspects from gear and move it to whatever. It seems super cheap to do it as well. There is no cost to changing your build, you don’t need new items, you just change the aspects of what you are wearing. But, I’m at paragon 210 right now, all on barb, and all my main aspects have yet to be maxed out. It is really hard to get maxed out aspects this season.
I mentioned this on the bosses thread. Why do bosses only drop uniques? please let them drop legendries as well. I want to play in a party so this game doesn’t get too boring, if one of us needs legendaries, we don’t do bosses. just like that, half the game is not an option.
Lack of drops in the pit. Greater rifts were a better system. Can you finally go full GR and just adopt it fully? You have so many things the same, but gear drops are lame in the pit. You don’t do it for the gear, that is for sure. They spent 10 years perfecting the greater rift, and you came out the gate and said, THESE ARE NOT GRs! ok, but we loved GRs, why are you hating them?
Overall, the gear is … mid. There is no big swings, it just all feels safe and lame. Give me some sets to work with, let me do some big variations in gameplay. Let me be a GOD!
