Just started playing again after a hiatus, and things look cool. I have never played StarCraft (and never intend to because i dont want to), but the quotes attached to the armor in the shop (like the spiritborn one) sent me down a rabbit hole.
The armors for my preferred classes look sick AF, so i whipped out my credit card and… remembered that im still waiting for the dumpster fire S11 leaderboards. Not because i will be competitive, but i think it will show how out-of-touch/incompetent the devs are.
Sure, D4 haters will say thats a day 1 observation, but me personally, it shows they took feedback and implemented it either very well or very poorly. Probably even skipping the BP for the first time because i have a feeling leaderboards will be my make or break
No i dont doubt it, but then that roadmap shows that S10 lasts until december, so maybe im not mis-remembering. I have been b***ing about this for awhile now, so im pretty certain its meant for S11.

You expected it before the game was irrelevant (giggles).

Next he will want lobbies and true global chat (giggles)
Then, he will want Diablo in his own game (giggles)
Leaderboards would be an absolutely terrible idea since RMT exists and would showcase how daft the devs are. Every season comes down to who can RMT the best gear and find the best game-breaking exploit–not exactly a good use of a leaderboard.
I’ve never cared about them either. Way back when leaderboards were first put in I posted a thread asking how many people actually care about leaderboards. I’d estimate MAYBE 10 percent of respondents actually cared. The majority opinion was that they were a waste of time because the only people topping leaderboards are streamers or people with no life who can play all day or people who straight up cheat. Casuals don’t care about leaderboards and that is who this game is catered to. So I wasn’t crying any tears when they left along with the gauntlet due to lack of interest.
I forgot about trials. Only ever managed to barely get in the 1000s, before having to contend with people who (i assume) were exploiting.
Hmmm, good point tho. When i saw leaderboards on roadmap, i assumed global leaderboards of some fashion, but they could just be bringing back trials, which seems safer
Hopefully they add a separate no-trade option for players at least to avoid RMT. It can’t be true Solo Self found but I guess it counts as self-found even if you group. they should just dump the group drop bonus
