Every single build I try is garbage, game is just bad. Nothing is balanced.

Ngl it sounds like your build is just not at all cohesive and you have no paragons.
I’m currently using a patchwork build doing a transition from 1 build to another with suboptimal gear on my rogue 100+ and I can just face tank him and win…

Shadow damage over time, nothing but shadow damage and +vulnerables. Every other content at that level was getting chewed apart, bosses too. Bosses doing way too much damage for my liking still. Butcher I could barely move his health bar, and my CC does nothing. Crappy encounter is crappy.
Shadow damage isn’t the same as other DOT’s.
You want to get kills to proc the shadow ODE. Poison or cold would work far better on the butcher. The butcher has life steal when he hits you, shadow damage will do nothing because it doesn’t actually apply a DOT lol.
I’m not using imbuement or dot at all and I melt him.
My build is cold. Azurewrath, Frozen Mages cast Blizzard. Well Rogues are OP AF, soo…

Yes. 10k armor, 26k life. Tyrael’s Might, Tasset’s of the Dawning Sky. Still dying almost constantly to anything even remotely close to level 110 or higher.
Lol something is amiss. Not even my Sorc dies to that lol and that is without flameshield, you are missing something.
I sat there DPS’ing him down w/ all of my Skellies, and over the course of the fight went through something like, at least x11 potions? Can you not just agree some things are over tuned? It “has” to be my play, right? Your Sorc =/= my Necromancer. Different dungeon affixes, elixirs, incense you could have been running with, other players…
I play solo only and forget to use elixirs half of the time. I just run every dugeon regardless of the affixes really.
Something in your build is flawed.
The butcher is not and should not be an issue for any class that is built semi decently. He is as easy to kill as most other endgame bosses, if not easier. Duriel hits harder than the butcher for heavens sake and he’s a pushover lol.

I play a minion necro build with blight and he is no problem. I have no uniques and my mages use shadow damage. If you are having issues with him, it has to be something on your build.

Did you literally try to face tank the butcher? Is that what you’re saying? That dude hits hard AF.
You still need to avoid his attacks.
I just got the butcher in a T100 on my druid last night. It was an easy kill but it took too long to be worth it. Necro is much stronger than druid this season. Your build needs work.

Playing on console was never meant to be balanced.
Well you have 700 to much armor and your life is kinda low. I’d be willing to be you haven’t dabled in master working yet, and there is obviously some issues with your paragon board. Are you following a build guide or making your own? And are you at least gem’d? I have more health than that on all my toons without the gems.
Also remember the butcher isn’t a normal boss, he is designed to kill people, not be killed like a normal add.

Shadowblight minion player here, tier 100 Butcher is a cake walk. Blood golem 2-3 shots him with no active buffs. It’s a build/skill problem.
