Still no cross platform ability

Well it’s been a couple of days and it doesn’t look like Blizzard gives a rat’s rear end. Am I missing something? On the character select screen I have cross platform play enabled. When the character is selected and the game starts the check is still in the box but it’s grayed out and says I have to select it in the character select menu where it’s already enabled. Not an issue before the patch to fix the patch to fix the rollback of the original patch.

No other feature of this game is more important to me than crossplay. Any insight or help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

What’s the problem exactly? The cross play option is always grayed out when you’re in the game - that doesn’t mean it isn’t on. If the box is checked, then ctossplay is on.

Kalam is right. You can’t turn on/off crossplay while you are actively in the game. My guess is because it puts you on a different server when you enter the game, and they just haven’t programmed to pop you over to a cross-play or non-cross-play server during actual gameplay.

It’s working as intended though. Unless you have friends on another platform that are unable to join your group, and you both have crossplay enabled. Then it’s a whole other problem.

Thanks the feedback. We can see each other but neither of us can invite or request to join. Never happened before the new patch. Being sent to the wrong server makes sense. I have uninstalled the game and am now reinstalling it. Thanks again.

I’ve had that happen when I was trying to trade with someone who was playing on console - neither of us could invite or request invite for no apparent reason. We tried again later after we had both relogged and it worked fine. Maybe it’s just something with servers on the back end.

Though you’ve uninstalled, I found that when I enabled crossplay on PC, the other person (who was on xbox I think) had to be on the same type of game (seasonal or eternal) as you, and either have made it to the current torment level you are in, or has to be IN the same torment level you are in (I forget which). But usually you’d get a message telling you as such.
