Steps for better performance

  1. Disable full-screen optimization and enable DPI scaling ( if ye use any sort of upscaling) in the properties of the exe file.

  2. Enable 10 or 100 Gb of the shader cache ( dependeth of size of thy disk), adaptive energy consumption and performance in the general settings of the driver. Aslo if ye use some sort of vertical synchronization enable ultra Nvidia delay, limit max. fps is slightly higher than thy monitor( for example, 65, 125 or 149 and so on) and rendering on the video card in a separate tab for Diablo 4 in the video driver itself, and not in the game. In the same place, enable physics on the CPU instead of auto. If ye don’t use any synchronization, ye don’t need the delay and then enable the fps limit exactly by thy minitor ( 60. 120. 144 and so on).

  3. Disable unnecessary background programs like Cortana, as well as those that are in auto-boot/load.

  4. Enable high performance in settings of Windows-games-add the exe file.

  5. Check how the game goeth with or without GPU scheduling in the same place - in the Windows settings. A result will be different for everyone.

  6. Change a DisablechromaEffects parameter from 0 to 1 is in a LocalPrefs.txt file. This will save ye from some bugs and disconnects by loading ( in a new zone for example). It hath been working since beta.

  7. Fog on low quality.

  8. Fur on average.

  9. Geometry on low ( the both parameters, they are side by side).

  10. Physics on average.

  11. Anti-aliasing on low.

  12. Shadows quality on high.

  13. Disable chromatic aberration.

  14. In the setting of the Battle.net enable “to close BN when run the game.”

All these are worketh, even if ye have a powerful computer, it’s better to do it anyway. Ye won’t see much difference in image quality, but the game will work better. Ye can not do anything about lags, but ye can try disabling cross-platform mode, including chat. May be helpeth.

Step 1: Get better devs and managment = problem solved.

This should not be on the customer to have to fix all the time. If you have to go through your list I would just uninstall.

It’s rare thing at all  Most problems actually from servers and their codes. The game itself hath good optimization.

This is the real fix. I don’t own a high end PC to go through a laundry list of fixes that takes me back 30 years to 80X25 monochrome graphics.

D4 is the ONLY game out of dozens I have installed that does this. It is not my PC.
