Stats Priority vs Item Level Priority?

Can someone tell me what is more important to a noob, what. should I look out for, as a level 54 necromancer, stats for my. build, or item level??

Item level all the way while leveling.

As in item power not actually ilevel like wow.

For your weapon (and focus if that’s you), Item Power (the number right below the item name) is more important. It’s what defines it’s base damage, and the biggest increase to damage in skills you’ll have.

For everything else, you prioritize affixes (IE Vulnerable Damage, Damage vs Something, +Attributes, those things). But while doing that, focus almost exclusively on items above 700 Item Power. (When it reaches 725+, which you can do through upgrading, you get to the highest breakpoints for affixes.) If you find perfect rolled affixes on below 700 Item Power equipment, don’t be discouraged. Perfect Rolls are always a good choice.

Item Level (the number on the bottom) means very little.

Item power is only the input variable to determine the stats of an item.

It is only ever meaningful if it’s near one of the breakpoints that brings you into higher ranges for your affixes.

Otherwise, whether leveling or finishing your build, just look at the stats (including damage and armor, which are based on item power).

As for required level, ignore completely unless you’re leveling an alt soon.
