State of difficulty in D4. Question

Im seeking answer for my question.
Hows difficulty compared to previous season? I liked when game was more meaningful, less power creep and harder a little bit. Season 1 was better in feeling. Prefer to have harder challenges with less density of mobs - where i need to roll and care about surrounding.

Do Diablo 4 offer alternatives of end-game for me? i will have fun when i don’t like over-stimulating zooming? how game changed last seasons?

This season is really no different to S6 as far as difficulty.
There are still some broken builds if that is your thing, which trivialize everything.

But if you make your own build they are relatively the same level of difficulty as last season.

The difficulty bump will supposedly be higher in S8. And yes the numbers in the pit will slide lower as far as where the same builds will reach. But after playing the PTR, I still think Torment 4 is very reachable by most people.

Instead of the s7 pit 65 it will be the equvalent of s7 pit 76 to get into Torement 4. Which is very doable, if you put in the time to gear for it.
Early game is not difficult at all.

Thanks for answer! And nice they increasing difficulty. I wish for increased difficulty with decreased mob density at all but i guess it will never happen.

btw. There are any news about couch-coop on pc? and due to that difficulty. There’s no new difficult content? that didn’t force me to farm milions of monster but fight lower but harder enemies?

I have not heard anything about couch co-op on pc here.

There is some new content as in 3 more bosses for the boss ladders. And they said they revisited the existing bosses and made them better (as in mechanics), but I did not really notice much of that on the PTR. I did not boss much outside of Varshan, Beast and Zir probably only a few runs also. I did not get to try the 2 new bosses in the expansion area, nor did I see the Boss Bilial fight first hand. I just saw a youtube video of it.

Hopefully someone else can detail these fights out better for you.

It is different, yes, very different. It is much easier, due to the 5 powers that we have already practically started with.

But in s8 this will change.

I wish really for it to be true for that game to be harder and less over-stimulating also for couch-coop. Main reason to play for me. To play with non-gamer GF.

btw.

  • Do they still delete most of the seasonal content and create season without thing adding to the core of the game? so it disappear? there’s no new stuff?
  • Do a multi-milion company still add 1 unique per class which is lower amount of items than garage indie studio adds? the most pathetic stuff about D4.
  • Do they still didn’t create unique 2D/3D art for this uniques?
    or smh changed?

I am sorry but Blizzard Policy about difficulty is strict: easy game for more players.
Is nothing bad or good…is just business target.

If you want something really difficult try PoE2 , especially after new patch 0.2.

It’s even easier then S6 IMHO

Me too.

Indeed.

Result: you can’t compare S1 to S7. It’s completly different game for many reasons.

Diablo 4 is a mess of course :person_facepalming:

IE Less than 10 % of effort was put into Itemization, Skills or Gameplay if I were to grade it on that I’d give it a minus 1 the only thing this P.O. :poop: game was set up to do was sell Ugly Overpriced Cosmetic MTX Not To Play It! That being so it’s earned that Minus 1 and then some :unamused:

yeah i noticed that in road map. They are promoting colabs as smh interesting for player.

It got easier since s1 in a number of increments. That’s being dialled back for s8. You be the judge and let us know what you think there?

A lot of other things have changed.

Pit was introduced which might be the closest to controlling difficulty in the way that you want it.

Outdoor also but the difficulty shifts are much less granular so it well depend on your stage of progression as you go through each of the 8 tiers. You’ll find outdoor whisper runs might be close to your density desires if not a Helltide or green tide area, but they’ve shuffled the whispers around a bit for green tides in s7 and not sure what they’ll do with that in s8 yet.
