Start from zero over and over again?

I want to make my character unique and play with it untill i get bored and create another class, i never liked the system of seasons in Diablo 3 when you have to create a new character every season to then just leave it and back to your favorite one. so, i would love not having that kind of system on seasons at Diablo 4.

We don’t know what the seasons will be like in D4 yet if I am not wrong, lets wait and see.

It will be some degree of start over each season, no one knows beyond that. It may be 100% ground zero or some things may carry over. Blizzard has been obnoxiously tight lipped on the details.

I would assume they aren’t fully clear on how to balance it fully, because you have the account wide buffs from the Lilith Statues across the world, they would have to somehow disable that feature for season, or your character would be fairly powerful starting off with a boosted Int, Str, Dex etc.

D4 Seasons will be optional. And first won’t start until fall the earliest. You can play your Character as long as you like because world generates new stuff all the time.

I’m with you on this aspect of diablo, the continual re-grinding aspect gets boring super fast.

Poe solved this.

You can have a standard game that never resets and a season game which requires a new char. I feel like D4 is out of date before it started

Agreed, there is no reason for it.

Isn’t this exactly how diablo 3 already works too? You can make a non-seasonal character that never changes, or you can start a seasonal character and after the season ends that one just gets moved to your standard list. Been a while since I played but that’s how I recall it.

Kind of a early judgment there, we don’t have anything to go on when it comes to this topic, thus wait and see is the way to go and if it fails they’ll change it, I am certain of that, because they want to have a stable player base, and why is that, well lets put it in the famous word of Yilong Ma says it, “MONEY”.

Been awhile since I played D3 but I think you are right. Poe is just the most recent example I have to pull from.

What the hell do you mean? Ofc D4 will have Standard mode and Seasons as option. And don’t forget PvP!

I think all their current decisions are based around creating a stable player base. Wow if nothing else has proven that endless monotony can create a stable player base & it is likely behind their reasoning in getting way from the Arpg genre with Diablo

OK? Kind of was already established in the conversation and I already admitted my ignorance of D3 so i’m not sure what you were aiming for here.

Well PoE lives of the same concept they are going for here, cosmetic monetization in all it’s glory, and I am fine with it as long as it stays on cosmetics.

My point is that you are way over D4 being good or bad. Give it time. When PoE started it did not have Seasons and it was absolutely not balanced or even good game. And it still looks bad visually. Look at Templar’s neck for example.

You’re the one who claimed d4 was out of date because it doesn’t have an eternal realm when we already know that it does.

Didnt they say Seasonal things will be added to the non seasonal characters?

Just not the leaderboards and fresh start? As their will be new quests and possibly areas/dungeons in new seasons?

Maybe im wrong

I feel there is a reading comp issue going on here

It sounds reasonable path because D3 also added Seasonal items to Standard mode excluding some Seasonal special rewards. PoE does this too.
