Messing around with builds, very curious if anyone knows if the free casts from stable aspect benefit from edgemasters or elementalist aspect?
Stable Aspect
While unstable currents is not active your shock skills have a X% chance to trigger a free cast from it.
Edgemasters Aspect
Skills deal up to X% increased damage based on your available primary resource when cast, receiving the maximum benefit while you have full primary resource.
Elementalist’s aspect
Core or mastery skills cast at or above 100 mana have X% increased critical strike chance.
I’m assuming that the answer is yes here, that any shock skills cast for free from stable aspect benefit from both edgemasters and elementalist’s, but not sure if casts from an aspect receive the same treatment as skills you cast yourself.

My friend tested it by comparing the crit rates of the following two settings:

Remove all the crit chance bonuses except those from dex.

Add an Elementalist’s Staff with +76% to crit chance and nothing else to setting 1.
He tested it by doing auto-attack slowly with the staff when Unstable Currents is active and removing any Crackling Energies, making sure that the yellow numbers come from the Core or Mastery Skills rather than the Lightning Spears. His crit chance with the staff was 95%.
He observed that the crit rate for Ball Lightnings spawned from Unstable Currents did not crit at ~95% when the staff is equipped, but rather at ~20%. Hence the Aspect doesn’t work for Ball Lightnings cast from Unstable Currents. I’d assume then it’s very likely that it also doesn’t work for Chain lightnings and Charged Bolts.
Either this is a bug or the description(s) should be amended, since as it is now it looks like it should work for the Core and Mastery Skills cast from Unstable Currents.

Has to do with what the game considers as cast from you, certain abilities work when you cast the spell and spend mana on them, certain ones work on the ability just existing, no matter the source.
Pay attention to the wording.

The wording doesn’t clarify it.
Very easy to test and research though. The game shouldn’t spoon feed you everything.
A game does not need to obfuscate its mechanics. Don’t defend bad practices just because you like the game - it’s not your friend.
Unstable Currents and the Stable aspect should have their language changed to something other than ‘cast’ if they’re not ‘casts.’

It’s not very easy. It might take more than half an hour to reliably test it. It took my friend more than half an hour.
