SSF players get the shaft in VoH?

sooo, im watching the xbox dev talk…the Dark Citadel is gated - you need a min of 2 players to enter?
if i heard this correctly it screws SSF chars…why would you gate this event?

please allow single player access to this area.

there is no ssf mode for this reason. but they are adding a party finder

i know this but some ppl like to play solo…it sounds like you cant access the citadel unless you have min of one party member

I tried telling everyone that you wouldnt be able to solo it. They called it a co-op dungeon. It wouldnt be co-op if you could solo it. It only makes sense.

Let’s hope you can cheese it, party up get in and leave.

That’s how you access some old raids in wow solo before they let you just walk in

I think the coop dungeon is fine as rewards are cosmetic only BUT…
the scroll of re-tempering has to drop somewhere else too.

Yea that part really sucks. I don’t want to have to group with some random person to play the game. I also don’t want to be tied to the game because I’m in a group. If I need to log off and go take care of something or whatever.

makes no sense…a lot of ppl are in this boat…most ppl don’t wan to have the feeling like they are tied to group play as things might come up in real life where you need to step away for a few mins. like ppl with children…

they described puzzles where players have to interact with things at same time in order. dont think you can cheese your way past it. seems like the “ssf” people will have to suck it up an party

Keep the group mechanics, it’s cool for those who like it, but give the option for those who don’t like playing in a group to be able to get the scroll too, that’s all

This season being shorter I thought “I’ll play on SC” and I’m glad I did, I’ve never had as many connection problems as I do now, I “lost” at least 2 characters per season but this time I would already be trying to make the sixth

Party only content really has no place in this type of game. I Agree with the sentiment of the OP. Can I find someone? Sure, I have friends, but the thing is - I prefer not to be beholden to other people being available. My time in D4 is more freeform - do what I want, when I want.

As long as there is a party finder, it should be ok.

Edit: I have just read the dev article. There is a party finder and it’s better than I expected. It looks like you can party up with all actitivies and not just the new content.

This is a big win for solo players who just wanna tag up with random folks like in Helltides anytime.

Nothing like that. From what I understand you can do it with another mercenary. In other words, one is with you and the other plays the role of a player.
