Is it hidden? Hopefully it is hidden from preview.
Yeah that’s correct.
Her and her son are plotting against us now.
In D2, we destroyed both Diablo and Meph soulstones at the forge and they still there, at least Meph for the moment
Destroyed should be used loosely in this context.
When one of the prime evils is “destroyed” their life force just becomes scattered and slowly regenerates over decades if not centuries. In fact, at the end of the D4 campaign, the soul stone is used on Mephisto’s weaken state to “trap” him within it. But really, it just created a protective barrier for Mephisto to safely continue regenerating his full force away from the other primes whom seek to devour his weaken state and absorb his essence like Lilith was trying to do before we killed her.
Based off the screenshots, provided by Blizz, of the season pass, the first season will be themed around Mephisto. Thus, I speculate the coming story expansions will revolve around Mephisto returning back to full form, using that dumbass Ling-Ling as both host and pawn, and we’ll have to clean up her mess and vanquish Mephisto once again, scattering his essence for another set period of time.
She may respawn, but her son won’t. Rathma is dead dead.
Rathma was a Nephalem. Human death isn’t fully understood but they seem to become intangible spirits and perhaps move onto another dimension that is inaccessible by physical beings including demons and angels. Or they because (often angry) ghosts.
Unless you mean Elias who is hanging around.
He still has his head in the game.
He lost the weight of the world he had on his shoulders.
I hope Lilith returns. She was such a good character. Way more interesting than any of the Great Evils.
I have a few related questions.

Angels are also supposed to be reborn in the Crystal Arch once they die. Will Inarius return or did Lilith seemingly corrupting his wings kill him permanently? If so, how did Lilith learn to perma-kill angels? If demons knew how to do this, how did the Eternal Conflict last for so long?
-
If Inarius’s goal was to return to heaven, why didn’t he just kill himself? He would have been reborn in heaven in a couple years lol. I guess he wanted to atone and be forgiven by undoing all his mistakes. But he just completely lost his composure after stabbing Lilith. Did he really think stabbing her would be the end? He went out like a wimp.

When Tyrael ripped off his own wings in D3, he turned into a mortal. It is said that when Heavens gave Inarius to Mephisto, Mephisto tore out Inarius’s Wings. Why didn’t Inarius turn mortal? Are they retconning that detail? Cause it seems like angels’ wings are tied to their immortality.
-
How did Inarius escape his prison? Was the entire setup and conclusion of D4 story just a part of a greater plot by Mephisto? Did he set him free on purpose? HMMMM.
I don’t think she perma killed him. She forced him to fall. Which means he either became a human OR based on “stay in hell forever” turned him into a demon.
The real question here is we know angels can become both human and demon. But does that mean a demon could become human or angel? It might be interested to see Lilith become an angel. Perhaps a new archeangel. The archeangel of love. Something the council is sorely missing plus love is the opposite of hate.
Because their spirit is “cleansed” or reset. It’s a sort of reincarnation where it’s a fresh slate. It’s the same essence but with no memories of their past life and often a new personality. So like yeah he’d go home but he wouldn’t be him anymore. Plus it only happens if there is peace and harmony in heaven and considered all the bs going on for the past 70 years I am doubtful they’ve reached harmony. So he’d be a blank slate stuck in a queue.
Though I am curious about what exactly is going on in heaven
As far as I can tell I think this was retconned. That book also had him looking like a human with bird wings. He also lost his eyes. Which… angels obviously don’t have.
We don’t know for sure but it could’ve been around the time Mephisto was killed in D2. But he had been absent from hell for awhile by then. But he did have a load of demons leave his domain in his return which may have weakened his defenses. But it is possible that Mephisto let him go for some reason.
As far as I know when angels are “reborn” they don’t keep their memories like demons do. So the essence of inarius may go to heaven and respawn but it will not be Inarius, or the Inarius we knew at least.
