Spiritborn - The Sacred Hunt - Percieved soft lock due to ability selections - Fixed

When fighting the beast if the character doesn’t spec into every type of spirit damage they do minimal damage (1-5) when using an unspecialized spirits special abilities.

This quest either needs a minimum level suggestion or have the spirits be reworked to pull damage stats from something independent from skill selection.

Builds specialized into one type of damage (centipede in my case) could easily take down the beast if not forced to use damage from eagle or jaguar by locking players into a segment of the fight using unspecialized abilities.

Fix - When the spirit abilities trigger during the fight, attacking the beast until it restores your skills will allow you to progress. Attack the boss even though their health may still be greyed out.

This quest is not working right. The spirits are there to help you but kill you instead. 9 health potion, you need 20.

I don’t understand. I didn’t notice any special damage resist. I completed it on hard difficulty as a gorilla-only build.

I figured out what I was doing wrong: Some of the times, when all your skills change to the same aspect, you have to actually attack the boss, not the animal spirits, even though boss health bar is gray… for example, when you tapped the forest spirit - it says you need to bind the boss. Weird.

I’m going to try this, maybe its just a bugged health display.

Edit: Wow that worked, when the spirit abilities trigger attacking the beast until it restores your skills works. I guess maybe they could have the beast be mobile during the stages it is invulnerable to better signal to the players it’s staggered and needs to be targeted.
