I get the SB was OP in S6 due to some bugs but the class was fun to play aside from that but what I can’t figure is why on earth would destroy pretty much the main reason for people buying the expansion in S7. They nerfed the hell out of SB so bad it is sitting primarily in B Tier lists. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out this was an absolutely stupid move. With the current competition (and they are owning it) one would think you would not want to discourage players from the only new class in a year and half… geez.
Spiritborn is still in a better place than sorc…
Ill give you that. I just don’t understand the logic. I swear they are trying to drive people away intentionally at times. Every class needed an S tier build this season in order to compete. The lineup is very disappointing although it is nice to see druid get some love it is still horrible.
I’ve had several articles pop up today about spiritborn set to be at the top despite big nerfs but I have read a couple of these spiritborn panic sentiments today on the forum. Maybe it won’t be quite as bad as you’re assuming? Unless you always expected the class to be 100 times better than the others but you’ve been around a bit and I doubt that’s the case.
Upon an entire sec of reflection, this is all about tier lists being put out, I assume?
Correct this is being based on patch notes and tier lists. Not trying to be a doomsayer just pointing out that if 97% of the player base played SB in S6 and they nerf the hell out of it, how much of that 97% is going to say enough is enough? Blizzard is on thin ice with a lot of players as it is with multiple games and they absolutely needed a banger this season and I just don’t see that happening if they are nerfing what is presumably the most favorite class (mainly because it is new). I agree it needed changes but to the extent they have I disagree.
Spiritborn was so overpowered, it could have been nerfed by multiple hells and still be OP.
Just read the guides to see why Maxroll thinks it’s now B Tier. I’m sure they’ll bother writing some when they’re done playing POE2.
Nerfing the spiritborn from doing quadrillions or even quintillions of damage back to millions and billions like the other classes was always going to be an extremely unpopular move. Can’t wait for the backlash from people who don’t keep up with the news, it’s going to be hilarious.
S7 hasn’t even started yet.
Didn’t you guys do 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 damage for an entire season while no other class was allowed to come close to even 0.0000001% of that?
Oh god, tier lists? Stop whining because some streamer said something. Its time to grow up a bit. Its a game, you will be fine.
Telling other people to grow up when you sit here trolling video game forums everyday, classic.
Dude, you are whining about a video game, lol. Enough said.
Funny, I thought I was having a discussion… odd. So even though you are wrong it still doesn’t change the fact that you are a troll and have been non-stop on these forums.
Oh no, some streamer made a list.
You cant make this up, lol. So many lemmings out there.
Not fixing the bugs in season 6 on sight will have long lasting repercussions. They should have unclogged the toilet instead of kept poo’ing and pee’ing in it. For 3 months straight.
Now SB players will feel so underwhelmed. Blizzard has no one to blame but themselves.
You just need a plunger, Blizzard. You don’t even need to call a plumber. You just need to start plunging with the plunger like this plunge plunge plunge Oh look it’s fixed! Now your game doesn’t suck. Crapping and whizzing into the broken toilet for 3 months without fixing it will ruin your game. Never do that again!
It’s Blizzard…
They know what fun is….
They know what balance is….
Hey want another cosmetic for 28.95?
LOL Accurate! This made me laugh.
Yes. I want. But there are not even new cosmetics in ye olde ingame shoppe. The ingame shop is a wasteland just like the endgame in this game.
What do you want to bet the top performers this season get nerfed by mid season patch? That they go back on their entire philosophy and their word as soon as it has nothing to do with the Expansion Sales?
It’s entirely possible but why?
If you leave a broken class for a season (like last) and it’s obvious it’s hurting the game from the players view, and you don’t fix it…
Why would you expect change with the reasoning and logic they use?
You’re not understanding me. They chose not to fix Spiritborn regardless of how insanely exponential their damage grew all the way into complete insanity. They stated they didn’t want to “ruin the fun” for people who had already invested their time and effort into the builds.
I’m suggesting that it would not surprise me if they completely back step this philosophy and their word as soon as the best performer is not the Spiritborn and as soon as doing so will have no effect on Sales since the expansion sales are basically done.
Meaning they’ll likely nerf the best performers by mid season patch even though they refused to fix 100% broken interactions for the Spiritborn for an entire season.
In other words, when it was Spiritborn it was ok. When it’s someone else, they’re suddenly going to decide it’s no longer ok.
Hopefully I’m wrong though and most things are just balanced and fun this time.
