A Nature based class… just idk how I feel about this choice over Witch Doctor that would play clearly different from Necro or Druid.
Spirit born just sounds like a druid with no shapeshift and all poison damage.
They had art that showed something that looked like an angel with a spear. Angeles are sprits made from light and sound, so maybe the new class is some type of lesser angel (spirt born). Or a “human” with some angelic powers.
Spirits are from the Underworld not angels or demons.
the class is probably just going to be an intelligence caster using green nature spells not angel powers or like a cleric.
Spirit is also the resource Druids in D4 and Monks in D3 use so who knows man.

im just saying rather get witch doctor than some class just shooting poison and green blobs.
i dont think mephisto will be the big bad until expansion 3 or 4.
I can’t say for sure exactly what it is, but according to the leak: “Nature, Wings, Soaring.”
In Diablo lore, there are druidic tribes in the Kurast region but since we have druids already I don’t know if this is gonna be more closely related to wereowls like from Median XL (I highly doubt it, but at the same time I’m not against it) or if it’s something new entirely.
The only other peoples in that region are found on Skovos Isles and that’s the Amazons. I would really hate to see a witch doctor considering we have 2 minion classes already and neither of them can actually rely on the minions.
Mephisto is literally coming in the 1st expansion. My guess is sometime in Spring.
He will definitely be the next big bad, he is the weakest prime evil, Baal and Diablo will be the last.

I think the first expansion will be Giyua as the boss.
Mephisto was taken across the ocean to the west but the expansion is taking place south in the jungles.

When the leaks say the expansion is literally called “Lord of Hatred”, it’s hard to believe that anyone else would be the big bad. Especially considering this expansion opens up Kurast and if you ever played Diablo 2, Mephisto is found in Kurast.

the other leak claimed it was just called the jungles something something.
the seasons are leading up to set a different entity not Mephisto.
Season 4 is supposed to be Dreamlands. With basically the first 4 seasons being Zombies,Vampires,Werewolves and Ghost.
leading into expansion 1 that will be in the jungle fighting the big deity in the Unformed land.

“Leaks” and speculations, we will know in 3 more days. If it is an expansion it should be revealed in the opening ceremony on Friday with more details on Saturday.

the expansion is heading south.
it makes zero sense for Mephisto to be the big bad when he was taken an entirely different direction.
especially when the two seasons story is setting up a different subplot, and the 4th season being The Dreamlands
It didn’t say where they were sailing to specifically, but if you look at the map, there’s a clear river running between Kehjistan and Kurast.
