Spiritborn Evade / Stormfeather Build - Questions

I’m farming torment 4 using the Spiritborn Evade / Stormfeather build, and it’s awesome. I have a few questions that I’m hoping someone here can definitively answer for me.

  1. Does “Eagle Skill Damage” affect the Stormfeather damage? For example, take the passive Brilliance. “Eagle Skills deal {x}% increased damage for each {x}% Movement Speed you have.” I’m under the assumption that this DOES impact Stormfeather damage because every single build I see uses this passive.

  2. Assuming “Eagle Skill Damage” does impact Stormfeather damage, why would we not use Eagle Damage tempers instead of Stormfeather Potency tempers? The Eagle Damage temper goes all the way to +80%, whereas the Stormfeather Potency temper only goes up to +40%. Does Potency scale base damage, and if so, is that stronger than the additive bonus from Eagle Damage tempers?

  3. I can’t find any evidence that the Sapping paragon legendary node is working properly. Does this work off the automatic Thunderspike casts we’re getting from evading? Does it work off the automatic Concussive Stomp runeword? Does it not work at all?

The tooltip in the paragon board says “When you cast 3 Gorilla, Jaguar, Eagle or Centipede skills with the same spirit in a row, restore 15% of your Vigor and deal 30% increased damage for 5 seconds”, but even if I manually cast 3 skills in a row it doesn’t give any sort of buff.

I’d appreciate it if someone could clear this up for me. Thanks!

I would love to see an answer to this as well. I have however, been operating under the assumption that Storm Feathers are a damage type separate from Eagle damage. This assumption is based off the idea that having both would make zero sense if they were not separate.

Yes. It’s merely additive damage.

I’m also curious, but I’m thinking potency affects how much the storm feathers are scaling weapon damage. So, more potency equals more weapon damage % being used to scale the damage. I’ve no real testing data.

It works. Check your tooltip attack power before and after enabling the node.

the only thing i can think of is that potency gives other benefits like the speed boost. otherwise no clue

Okay that’s it. In the Eagle Spirit Hall, 4 seconds of MS bonus. Evade. Fling 8 For every remaining second… blah blah 125% Lightning Dam… Potency would increase your Amount of feathers and the % of damage for each one… maybe even making them Vul longer as well being its part of the feathers…
