Spiritborn Evade Build IS Officially Being FIXED (BUG ACKNOWLEDGED)

I got a feeling it can still be done but you gotta get the evade cooldowns. It wont be as fast but still playable. Basically they are taking the animation bug out because this actually could be contributing the crashing. I have noticed it lagging alot when i see more than 3 SB evades out. You can probably still do this just actually gotta hit that evade button like a real person.

A correct action by Blizzard. Just wishing they would act in a far more timely manner before entire seasons are destroyed for people, much less possibly entire expansions. For many people, you had ONE LAST shot with D4 shot to fix your approach/behavior to addressing issues and you blew it.

You’re arguing with Blizzard now, not players. This is a bug. No other class can cast 4 evades at the same time before the animation finishes.

People complaining its to powerful and needs nerfed, meanwhile other spiritborn builds are doing trillions to literally infinity damage. Meanwhile almost ever other class and build is sitting back here like second class citizens.

I’m fine with this ONLY and ONLY if they fix the Robzillion gigallion damage. Otherwise, it’s pretty pointless reset.

Doing fine with my shademist necromancer build like from last season…its slower but a walking melting pot of mobs.

They probably had bigger fish to fry like stabilizing the game client and servers.

Egos are fragile things. They get damaged easily.

Which leads me to believe that this build was not the entire cause of people crashing but a significant contribution to it because it broke the animations. Since the majority of the server is SB and out of those a big chunk of the evade, this is probably why you lag or crash. On a side note i did see a Druid last night and said “I found one!”

I’ve seen necros and barbs, and yeah I doubt this build is why people are crashing as well.

The economy’s been destroyed by people exploiting a bug. It’s a pretty big problem. If you just play solo self found then it doesn’t affect you. But it affects others who care about trading and the market.

Absolutely.

And now my character is so far behind in GENERAL progression / gear just from other users having farmed at a billion times speed, that I STILL won’t be able to participate at a normal level, even when those people switch specs. They obtained end game level gear in 2 days. There’s no catching up to that, which means I STILL won’t be able to participate in any content.

Not to mention all of the wealth that they’ve earned can buy them whatever is the next best build immediately. So yeah this season is basically ruined.

Yeah, find it pretty strange that evade being fixed but the trillions/whatever volley things is safe? Okie dokie then. SB so far has made playing other classes afterward feel pretty awful (on my alt stage now)so I may bow out of the season pretty early this go around.

how has the the economy been destroyed by the evade build? that is a pretty silly suggestion. a build doesnt destroy the economy, that is duping and rmt that does that.

I have been lagging around non stop fast quill volleys whereas I only lag if around many evaders. I also have starlink which is pretty limited anyway so I have not shared the same experience.

Two pretty major issues with what you said:

  1. If a bug being fixed decreases the performance of a build (or breaks it entirely, in this case), it’s also a nerf. The two terms are not mutually exclusive. Fixing a bug that causes a build or class to underperform is a buff in addition to a bug fix.
  2. I personally never played that build. I’m playing with two other people, and the insane mobility from that build would completely gap them to the point of the game being them just running after me. When I heard about it causing performance issues, I knew there was a possibility of it being changed this league, too. Finally, I didn’t really want to play a build that gives me the choice of using a macro that may or may not be against TOS (I legitimately don’t know if it is), or developing RSI from spamming my Evade key to that degree for hours on end.

I cant say I saw this coming but yea - it was going to happen. Im playing a touch of death SB and had one of those evade builds with me running Maidens on Penitent difficulty and he was one shotting the Maiden before I could even hurt her. Its early enough I think it should be nerfed - I mean I just got to Torment one 1 week in and Ive been playing pretty hard. Lots of time in the season is left …
