Maxroll just published a build guide for the Spiritborn class. There are 4 builds for the endgame, but 5/6 of the skills used are all the same: Scourge, Ravager, Counterattack, The Hunter, and Armored Hide. Where is the diversity in this class?
diversity is huge for SB class. There will be more build pop up for SB later as people play more and more - i am talking A and S tier builds…
But for now, Quill Volley is meta confirmed, touch of death as well. But Quill is less gear dependent and more well rounded , easier build to play for majority.
idc, I love scourge and it’s the new righteous fire.
The “Press” only had a week to test, and it was buggy. Not many of the build varieties could be tested in such a short period of time with low drop rates.
Don’t people know how to put together a build without Maxroll?
i cant believe i have to repeat this but here we go…They tested on a outdated patch, in a limited amount of time. There are tons of builds they all admitted they did not get to test and they all are continuing to theory craft as we speak. The builds on maxroll are not the end all be all, and you should expect many more to be added/updated as the season goes on. If maxroll was perfect they would never need to update their lists, which they did several times even in S5 where we had a ptr and the same design as S4 outside of Sorc. Make your own stuff, take maxroll with a grain of salt till week 2. heck the current #1 spiritborn build they have already is using an aspect that is confirmed to have been nerfed.
Enjoy the game.
Edit: Before i get asked the Unyielding hits - casting a gorilla skill increases your weapon damage by 30% of your armor for 3sec. Was already changed to * Casting a Gorilla Skill adds [20 - 40]% of your Armor to all attacks for 3 seconds, which was huge for the build and is now trash outside of maybe some leveling help from more dmg sources. it was one of the MAIN reasons the build was so good and thats noted in the first few sentences of the guide they released literally yesterday for that build. MAKE YOUR OWN BUILDS.
I think everyone can put together a build. You will be shocked to see what most people do in this game. (click 5/5 into each basic skills and move on).
I think for people that are not confident enough to put together a meta build is going to look at guides, to be efficient, and save time./ Because respec over and over takes time and gold… those time can be used to farm better gear and perfecting build if just follow a meta build guide
the class is cooked from design point of being restricted to a single weapon.
So they lose a big stat weapon legendary affix if they decide to put on a unique/mythic.
The diversity is in the expansion cost bundles )
I was watching the Ace of Spades, who I believe first theory crafted the Touch of Death build, and his health globe was going up and down suggesting it might be a “squishier” build than Quill Volley. So, yes, easier to play.
My buddy actually had 3 basic skills on his bar when he started playing in season 4 lol.
People are going to complete the season journey and kill all the tormented bosses in no time flat without any mythic uniques with the Spiritborn then get bored and not want to bother doing anything again with the other 10x weaker classes.
You brought this on yourself Blizzard.
RF Juggernaut ?? that was always my go to as well …
Yes I can goto mobalytics too
You rather spend 500 hours collecting and upgrading the perfect gear to hit certain stat thresholds that can change at a moments notice sometimes without any documentation?
What?

Quill looks too good to not use. Rod of k and midnight ring synergy SSS tier.
4 builds for endgame is good if compared to other classes in S6. Of course, the more, the merrier. Do I want other classes to have more diversity in endgame, pre-S6, definitely yes.
Sounds like Sorc, but it’s still too early to say.
Wouldn’t it be great if there were other smart people in the world that could also come up with builds for endgame?
They have 3 weapons. Staves, quarterstaves, and glaives. Each with its own implicit stat as well.
